What was your first anime?

Appleseed (OVA). So much cheese, but sometimes cheese is delicious!

Probably first one realized was Dominion Tank Police and Oh My Goddess OAV. Can't remember if watched pokemon before that or some other Saturday morning cartoon.

OG Dragon Ball

Not sure which one was the first I saw, but those are the ones I remember from my childhood:

• Demetan Croaker, The Boy Frog
• The Adventures of Hutch the Honeybee
• Grendizer
• Space Pirate Captain Harlock
• Captain Future

Of course I listened to all of these in French back in the day, and had no concept of what anime was. To me they were just Saturday morning cartoons.

I dunno. It's probably either Pokemon Diamond & Pearl, Shaman King or Naruto. Whichever they had on Jetix or Cartoon Network first. Or maybe something completely different that I don't remember because I was too young and couldn't tell what was "anime" and what wasn't... ^_^'

Doraemon Or Ninja Hattori. Don't remember which one was the first, but I have more fond memories with Doraemon. Back then they were all cartoons to me.

pokemon, saint seiya and yu yu hakusho

My first anime would have been Pokemon, then DragonBallZ , then YuGiOh (and after that DualMonsters) but they were all dubbed so for me that doesn't count :P as they were just cartoons to me. The first anime I watched subbed was Seto no Hanayome and damn is that one hell of a Japanese anime XD so weird, got me into the genre as a whole.

Pokémon when I was a kid, but when I realized what anime actually was, I watched Sword Art Online :P

I think it's either Yatterman or Tiger Mask.
Grew up to hate anime though.

First and pretty much only was Spaceship Sagittarius back when I was a kid.
Not fan of the art style(s) so I don't watch any.

I think it was Flying Phantom Ship (1969).

Captain Future in 1978

FLCL. made me realise I dont really like the style even if there are guns and shooting.

There was Animax for some years in my country and a bunch of anime were on tv all day
