Good Play Station games?

So I'm probably gonna get a Play Station soon, and I was wondering what games you guys think are good ones. The ones I can think of are-

  • Spyro the Dragon
  • Crash Bandicoot

I don't like Stealth games, so no Metal Gear Solid. Maybe some good RPG's besides FFVII? I don't know much about the games on the PS. And aren't there some good sports games on it? Just looking for really anything. Thanks!

Also, I'd appreciate the genre of the game and maybe a little description of it if possible

azure dream, addictive monster trainer with random dungeon generated every time you enter the monster tower with nice side quests.

it was basically a rogue like before everyone started making those as the monsters moved when you moved. I would always get to a certain point of that game though and die as the orb that teleports you out of the tower wouldn't drop

Vandal Hearts is a nice story driven SRPG, Legend of Kartia was another SRPG with a good monster summoning and card magic mechanic and quite an emotional story, and Legend of Legaia and Dragoon were turn based RPGs with a combat system based on executing combos with some precision, which broke up the monotony of turn based battles.
