I am not 'bragging', but all mice I've purchased wouldn't last more than three months of constant usage.

The last victim is Logitech G500. Previously two Razers.

Now the said mouse is suffering from phantom left click.

Could I ask for recommendation for durable gaming mouse? The one that can stand 1 million clicks for sure. I'm playing Diablo 3 and Dota 2 constantly and they're hard on mice.

I'm still using a Razer Deathadder, had it for more than 2 years.
Maybe try not to hit your mouse?

I feel Razor is a hit or miss on its product performance. It's really a clean split on the good-bad reviews.

Personally, my Logitech MX518 lasted me three years. I now have a G400 - it's direct replacement in the market. It's now near it's third year too and the only thing that's worn out is one of its pads which doesn't hinder it's performance at all.

I've had 2 gaming mouse, it was a pack of 2 on sale.

Too lazy to format: http://www.techspot.com/images/products/mice/org/1092882238_1023547712_o.jpg

It's called "Trust GM-4800 Laser Gamer Mouse Elite". Both of them stopped working in little bit over 1 year use. One was having the same problem as yours and automatically left clicked when in usage and the other had the left button "stuck", so left clicking wasn't working even if i smashed the mouse. Then i decided to buy a simple 3 button USB lightweight mouse for 2.5€. Said mouse has been used for 8 years non stop and never stopped working, it fell on the floor from many desks, never broke, since i made my desktop build 1 year ago, i bought two gaming mouse, cheap ones from companies i was little informed off at the time. I'm using one of them for about a year now, still works just fine. And my 8-9 years old mouse still works aswell and it has been collecting dust for about a year now.

Bloody hell, it was working... just didn't format and now i'm too lazy to even bother fixing it. Just google for the name i mentioned in my other reply. I just checked it's not the same mouse, the one i had was older but it has the same colour and pattern, just a few more extras than the one i had.

My first gaming mouse was a Razer Copperhead. After about a year the left click button started misfiring. One press would register as 2 or 3 clicks. Considering the price on that mouse, it left me rather bitter about paying a premium for gaming mice.

Later I bought a much cheaper non-gaming MS mouse which I rather liked, but not for gaming. The scroll wheel was smooth, with no "steps". While nice for browsing and such, it was annoying for gaming as generally each step of the wheel corresponds to one weapon/item/ability and it was too easy to skip past the item you wanted to select. The scroll wheel could also be tilted to either side for two additional button clicks which were mapped by default to horizontal scrolling. That never seemed too useful though, plus trying to use it in-game it seems like it would've been hard to use without accidentally also scrolling the wheel. It also had one button on either side of the mouse. In general I find it hard to use side buttons with my pinky. My Copperhead also had two buttons on each side, and though I occasionally tried to use the right ones, I never really managed to succeed. I still keep this MS mouse around as a backup as it's a pretty nice mouse, just not for gaming.

Eventually, still on the lookout for a better mouse for gaming, I saw a cheap Saitek Cyborg on a local store which I'm currently still using. It doesn't really have any flaws that I can see. It still works fine after a few years of constant use. The scroll wheel has steps, soft enough to scroll quickly, but hard enough not to accidentally scroll too much. Two extra buttons on the left side for my thumb along with a small button to switch between two DPI modes. The only "flaw" is that the rubber on the right side seems to have half-melted except for a patch where my pinky goes which has completely worn off, but the left side is like new.

I'd still prefer an "upgrade" to this mouse, but I'm rather reticent for many reason. First, most gaming mice are rather expensive, so I'm loathe to spend that much on something which might break and/or I might not like. Second, I'd prefer a few more buttons, but the next step up in that direction is MMORPG mice with a small number pad for the thumb. Unfortunately, I think it'd be hard to use so many small buttons with my thumb, specially since my hands are fairly big. Also I'd be worried about accidentally pressing any buttons while lifting up the mouse.

My G500 left click got broken 4 times too. It is worst durable mouse i got but i used to it so can't prefer another mouse.

It is very annoying when left click release randomly when dragging somethings.

I'm using Mad Catz R.A.T. 5 for 4+ years now. No problems at all with it, ang it's really heavily used (both me and my fiancee use irt for gaming, not to mention that I'm also using it for work for like 6+ hours a day). Nowadays R.A.T. 7 is not much more expensive than R.A.T. 5 and is reported to be quite durable as well os I would recommend you going for that ;)

I have my Logitech MX518 for about 7 years now and despite using it for several hours every day it still works without trouble and the only sign of usage is some missing paint on the logo. Back when I bought it the mouse was maybe 30€ but it seems it's not produced anymore and now you can't get a new one below 100€ which is ridiculous.

Well you could fix your double click issues:

Well stay away from Razer, bad quality control, honestly Logitech is probably the best bet... Microsoft SideWinders always lasted me quite a bit but I think those are not made anymore...

I use earphones, and within 6 months without fail I lose one ear of sound. Typically it's in the 3-5 month range, and I got those crappy earphones from Apple that didn't even last 2 weeks without losing one side.

Had the G700s for 3 years. Play 17-18 hrs of games a day using the mouse. When I fall asleep I usually knock the mouse to the hard floor where it hits so hard the battery cover comes off and battery goes across the room. (I am bed bound). The basically throwing the mouse against concrete is a unintentional weekly event and the mouse still works as good as the day it arrived. I may be lucky but I am very happy with it. (I have read many mouse products have a left button problem over time but so far so good.)

I bought a 6€ gaming mouse with no brand from Tmart.com 3 years ago. It has 2 extra mouse buttons + double click + sensetivity and I use them in dota 2. It has now 1700h+ ingame of dota with that mouse only. Still works perfectly. Link to it in here: http://m.tmart.com/USB-Wired-Optical-Gaming-Mouse-Black_p154490.html

Free shipping, too! :)

I can recommend the Logitech Perfomance mouse MX!

While not marketed as a gamemouse, it has excellent ergonomics and a few programmable buttons

Have you ever cleaned your Mouses? Maybe they're just full of hairs and sweat residue from really heavy use.
One would simple not believe what lands inside the mice (and keyboards) until one cleanes them the first time ^^"
I for myself have to clean mine at least every 9 months or so because of my usage.
That said, I use my MX 518 since it came out, and that was nearly 10 years ago iirc.

I've been using my Razer Deathadder for the last two years at least, and I played Marvel Heroes, WC3, SC2, Path of Exile, League of Legends, and quite a few other games. It's still going strong. Then again, I don't click particularly hard, and I don't hit my mouse or drop it frequently. I'm not saying you do, just that these are things that sometimes happen and they do not happen to my mouse.

Do you dry your hand properly after washing them, or you sweat your palms? My mouse had built up oxidation every 3 months or so due to me not drying properly, had to clean with isopropyl alcohol. After that never had a issue.
