Yesssss, need those hidden objects!
Nooo, they can stay hidden! :C
Maybe.. But only if they will behave nicely afterwards! :X
Repeats and only missing a few, skipping..
Those missing items again.... What are they up to? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Missing five games but IndieGala is busy. The connection has timed out. Please, IndieGala, take my money!

Wanted to buy, 3.5eu in Europe, no thank you.
They could include the tax in the price already like Humble Bundle does.

Maybe IG don't know Croatia is part of the EU? I honestly didn't know until I checked the Wikipedia (´ڡ`)

I was also thinking that you don't have a EU VAT, but you do have one (and quite high, actually).

So... I don't really know why your price isn't increased...

No one is perfect. Humble Bundle will screw you with their $1 = 1€ policy.

I also think IG adding the VAT is a pain in the ass, though.

Wow, first IG bundle I've bought since September. :o

Also, not 24 hours ago I was bitching about missing that HB AM bundle with the 3 previously unbundled games and said: "well, it's AM so new bundle next month, at the latest." :D Called it!

Ok, time for me to finally get my HOG train up and running - that is after I redeem the few I was missing. Is it me or are most of these HOG's relentlessly rebundled?

Maybe there's a Hidden Objective to these Game bundles?

P.S. Don't ask, I'm just weird

Mwahaha! Though at least with this one, I didn't own 3 or 4 - I hate it when they rebundle all but 1 new one :-(

HOGs, like most casual games, have a very short shelf life. Keeping them bundled can be a decent way to generate some new interest.

True - that or get peeps hooked so they buy the others in the series that aren't bundled or on sale. Big Fish had a curious mechanism for getting customers to keep buying - you could collect "stars or coupons" with each purchase - after six, you'd get a free game which, of course, gave you another "star"... in order to not waste that "star", you'd buy five more games to get the freebie, giving you yet another lonely "star"... :-p

I like that system, but have two small problems with it: it needs (needed?) a subscription to actually work, and the prices on the "full" versions of the HOGs there are ridiculous. To put it in perspective: I could probably buy one to three HOGs there for the same amount of money I'll most likely spend on getting 200-400 keys from this here IndieGala pack.

They did have a subscription - I think it got you one free game every month plus double "stars". But agreed, they were very expensive. I'm not surprised to see them offering games on Steam as a marketing tactic to try and drive more sales on their site.

Aren't there bundle splitting groups for that type of thing? I don't know how it works since I don't really get many bundles but I remember there are groups where bundles get split among those that want certain games.

Probably not going to buy because it's not really my cup of tea. However... I was thinking about trading for a game or two, for my dad's account. He's more into casual games (must be available in French tho) and looking at the reviews, it looks like Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood would be a good choice.

What do you think, Mille? (or anyone else) Which HOG is your favorite one?

The Grim Legends were my favorite, even the voice acting was decent, haven't played the Enigmatis games yet. Add me on Steam cause I have extra keys (I will be available tomorrow).

I do have "Grim Legends 2: Song of the Dark Swan" myself... I remember adding the game because someone posted about the screenshot with the otter image... was it you?? Anyway, I've sent a friend request. Let me know if you find something you'd like to trade for on my thread. :)

Awww, but they are really great games though! I was like 'yikes, hogs...' at first too, but then I tried one out and really liked it! :)
Well, your father should definitely play the first Enigmatis too then^^ But yes, the Enigmatis and Grim Legends games are my most favourite HOG's! :)

I was thinking of buying Demon Hunter 2, but since it seems like every AM game will be bundled, I see no need to ever buy a singular game off Steam. (Except Enigmatis 3; I was waiting quite a while for that to finish).

I've never actually bought HH before. How does it work? I just buy the bundle again as usual and click the gift box and I'll get 4 copies for $4.36 (since I bought it once during the first week)? Their explanation is so confusing...

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yes. If you bought it in the first week for yourself (didn't mark the gift box), and then buy it again during Happy Hour (while having the gift box marked), then you'll receive the 4 copies, yes! :) If you didn't buy it the first week, you'll receive 2 or 3 only for the same price.

Are these games good? Why do people like these so much? Is it the genre y'all like? thx

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

For many, it's just fun, casual stuff...pretty pictures...nice puzzles...sometimes an interesting story. I've played several of them with my preschoolers and they enjoy the pictures and "help" me find hidden objects, etc.
For others, well, they're great for farming cards and selling for profitz.
But Artifex Mundi are known for making many of the better hidden object games. YMMV.

Thx. I might get them since it's on sale and find out if I still like them (haven't played a hidden object game in years).
