Got a job instead of just playing on Steam all day.

I had $90 in my wallet but no money left in my bank. I decided to put off putting the money in as much as possible. One day, the Huge Seal deal comes up and I decided I NEEDED to buy buy games. I charged up about $135 worth of overdraft fees buying about $20 worth of games. By the time I paid it all back, winter sale was over. :/
And it was all games I never would've played too. =.= Fuck me, right?
Close second? Spending about $70 on crafting badges right before the summer sale and before the mystery cards were dropped.

I bought the Valve Complete Pack. Pretty much Valve's entire catalog is censored in Germany, even Portal and TF2.
I was pretty pissed off because while you do get a "Low Violence" warning if you buy a censored game, you'll never see it if you buy a pack that includes a censored game.

I've had a pretty tame time on Steam. One time a guy friended me just to get a TF2 item from me; I don't play it and have no idea what it was. It was probably valuable, so in hindsight it was probably stupid that I let him have it. I just figured, I don't care about this object and it'll make this other person happy.
But yeah. As far as "stupid things I regret," my worst is probably buying Bioshock Infinite on release week for $45. It was not worth that money to me at all. But if that's the stupidest thing I've done, then my Steam life hasn't been that bad at all.

+1 I've done that a lot. Just don't care about this stuff... ;)

I once posted this exact same thread on Steam forums... And it got locked. ._.

I opened a booster pack instead of selling it on Market. I lost a whole $2 doing that. ;)

Difficult to say. Was it the time I sold a card on the marketplace for 1/10th of it's market value? Or what about when I made a giveaway for a game but forgot to finish the transaction (it was in my cart) while it was still 80% off? And then there's the time when I accidentally sent two copies of a game to one winner, leaving me a game short for another winner. (No, the guy didn't return the extra copy.)
Live and learn. Die, and learn faster.

Just did mine today.
Bought the Rockstar Bundle on Green Man Gaming this morning, already owning some of the titles. I then proceeded to activate the keys for the games I didn't own and was left with some spares. Rather than copy/pasting my newly spare keys straight into into the file I keep them in, I decided to check them first.
I often try keys for stuff I already own, looking for the "Product already owned message" just so I can see that the keys sent were for the correct games. Well, I'll not be doing that any more! Already owned Max Payne 3 and you can imagine my surprise when my Max Payne 3 key actually activated.
Turns out I had a Max Payne 3 (ROW) on my account and this new key was for Max Payne 3 (WW). Whilst I knew there were different regions, I didn't know you could actually activate 2 keys of the same game from different regions on the same account. Total waste of a key. Lol, what an idiot.
So what's the dumbest thing everyone else has done? Anyone else been as stupid as me?
