OK, Win10 is so better for games than Win7 as Microsoft promised it to be? Which one is better? Why?

Depends on the game. There are quite many games that run fine on Win 7 but will refuse to run on Win 10.
I also seem to have a lot more BSoDs on Win 10, even though my Win 7 laptop has some minor hardware issues (one damaged byte in RAM) while my Win 10 one doesn't. Hopefully things will get better with updates...

Globally though, I like Win 10 better than 7, with a big huge exception for the horrible spying (why why can't we turn off the telemetry? :x)

Remember once out Windows 10 from download it. And have not regretted. For some reason I feel at 7 in the old technologies
I'm not exactly measured, but Windows 10 I have works much better with games than Windows 7 (despite the old unoptimized game)

Had a few issues when I upgraded to Win 10 initially. Decided to do a clean install and have had no issues since and the OS runs a lot smoother than older versions of Windows. All the games I've tried to play, old and new seem to run fine too.

I won ~15 fps on windows 10 for games like fallout 4, so Im happy.

As with most software things by and large the best depend on what you do and are used to so I suggest testing it yourself. With a clean install of W10 because upgrade is fucked up.

Personally from tests in the laptop I most use many of the games(and programs in general) don't work as well in w10 if at all, the settings I use in W7 are in other places so I have to waste time or absent. Performance and startup didn't really notice any difference. UI from software these days have a different target audience than me(browser is even more annoying than OS).

In short staying with W7 for the time being.

Linux is the best OS :)
The future for Gaming is Linux , Valve will make it happen even if it takes ages
The problem is the stubborn users who praise windows and stick with it no matter how shitty it is because of some AAA Games that are not available in other Platforms.
if a lot of users switch to Linux the developers will be forced to have Linux/Vulkan as a priority and publish their games to Linux than to Windows.

Most of you that are using Windows, you dont really care about the OS but in reality you are using Windows as a nice "launcher" to launch your favorite Application or Game. As long as it launches these without a problem and performance is good you are happy. :P

Windows 10, definitely..

Windows 7 is better because I'm scared of change and I think Big Bro isn't already watching me while I jerk off and pirate things.

I don't know, I don't really pay too much attention to the differences. I just saw a shady old man in a dark alley wearing a dirty long coat offering a free windows 10 update, so I said " sure, what could possibly go wrong?"

Win 10 does cross-platform gaming with many XB1 games (I play Forza Horizon 3 on my PC more than my XB1 because of my ultra wide-screen monitor)

Honestly, it's not even close. Most of the people claiming Win7 are just haters spouting inaccurate BS about spyware (that doesn't actually exist...you can turn off info sent from Win10, and Apple and Google already collect more without asking).

High end CPU & GFX cards = W10 Game Mode with replay/streaming disabled. Search any benchmark sites you trust.

Old/low end CPU & GFX cards = W7. Search any benchmark sites you trust.

Many people will be somewhere in the middle.

For an old system with W7, I'd just leave it.

For a new game system, I'd run W10 Game Mode for games and a Linux or FreeBSD for work depending on what you deploy to.

dont have much incentive as of right now to switch my desktop pc to win 10

especially not, knowing how many retro games flat out refuse to work on win 10
