Heyo!

As the title says I would like to ask for suggestions for games for couples.
I've played puzzle, escape room, portal, it takes two and multiplayer games with my gf and would appreciate help making a list of possible games to play.

We love games that require collaboration and fun of course, so any suggestions that fit that vibe would be awesome! Thanks in advance for your help!

Enemy Territory is a great game for having some alone time sniping each other.

It doesn't sound like the types of game you normally play but I've had fun having an online date or two with it :)

It definitely isn't something that would come to mind, but she plays a lot more fps games than I and is a lot better at reactions and aim too xD
The only reason I'm not sure is that I don't mind old games/graphics but she doesn't care much for them xP

Still thanks for the feed :)

I've put dozens of hours into Stardew Valley with my girlfriend. You can help each other out in pretty much every aspect of the game, but can also play independantly from each other. If you're going to play split-screen, I recommend getting a second monitor; we found it more fun not to be able to see what the other player was doing right now.

Overcooked is a fun, hectic cooperative game, although it can be rather stressful. Depending on the people playing it, it can either be an amazing experience working together, or they end up yelling at each other because things are just too chaotic and not going the way they want.

I've thought about Stardew but something tells me it's not for her, but I may give it a try^^

Overcooked we both played with friends but not together, so maybe after a few more time has passed:)

Thanks for the feed :)

Stardew was fun for us only with bunch of QoL modes

That could definitely help. I do dislike one thing about it, which is for such a chill game, it pressures a lot to "rush" through the day.

We are playing Shift Happens at the moment.

Ibb & Obb, KeyWe and Operation Tango and Trine already played, all great games :)

Now "Labyrinthine" I'll have to check out, that could be a fun game now for halloween, didn't know about it.

I'll check out "Unsolved Case" also didn't know about it, great plus being free^^ If I like it will check the other too.

Had no idea that "Manual Samuel" had co-op, thought it was a singleplayer only. I'll check it out.

I have "Toodee and Topdee" from a bundle, I'll install it to check it out.

Chained Together had in mind but was waiting for a discount, I know it's cheap but doesn't still seem worth it it's price for me personally. But I do believe we might have some fun with it.

I'll check all the others too. This really helped me, thanks:) Sorry for the long text.

Manual Samuel in coop means each of you control part of the body.
It's the same gameplay that Octodad: Dadliest Catch if you know about it (if you don't check it out).

Didn't know Gears 5 had co-op campaign, thought only pvp, since she likes fps, it might be a good one to play :)
Sackboy: A Big Adventure I already have in mind but wanted it cheaper, although it's Sony so likely hard.

Some of the others already played or I know it's not for her, but thanks for the recommendations. Gears 5 certainly didn't cross my mind^^

Octodad and Overcooked

I've played both, although not with each other. Octodad I don't think it's for her, but maybe replay Overcooked.

Stranded Deep. It's a two-player survival game. Very janky, but deeper than you would expect. Me and a friend played it regularly for a while and got into some situations that got us laughing hysterically. It's a bit of a repetitive game before you realize what you really have to do to beat the game, so maybe not for you guys if patience is an issue.

If you're okay with a lot of dying, then my son and I enjoyed...
Blazing Beaks - requires being willing to get some practice on the bosses (currently in a Fanatical bundle)
Assault Android Cactus+ - needs intro played to have second player unlocked I think, but that's pretty fast

and we did this on PS4, but it's on various things I think, if you want something a bit of a silly shooter...and less grim than the other recent entries in the series. Voice acting in Japanese is better than English, and the soldiers are so polite!
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers

We usually do same screen co-op for the above. But I've also been enjoying Core Keeper a lot, if you like exploration and free-form base building. You can have others join your world. Sort of a exploration-based Stardew mining/Minecraft top-down pixel art mashup.

A lot of rather good recommendations have already been made, but many are online only (you need two PCs and two copies of the game) or are designed for 4 players (they are sometimes not so good if you only play with 2 players).

If you want a list of only local games, and only games made for 2 players, then you can find over 600 of them here:

https://store.steampowered.com/curator/34907518-Games-for-Lovers/lists/

If you don't like them, it's not my fault because I did not compile it. I do find many of the recommendations rather useful, though.

Everything coop i had in mind were already suggested

But i just realized an example where i saw couples playing- its very out there but...
Team Fortress 2.
Its multiplayer, shooter, but its the only one where theres a strong casual where 1 of the key classes, if not the most key class, is by necessity a support always beam healing a chosen ally. Its so common finding couples as pairs medic+someone that the community jokingly call medic girlfriend whenever someone have clearly a personal friend that only stick with them.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I tend to be the medic in games hahaha
But sadly I didn't enjoy Team Fortress that much, I know it's a crime xD
My friends played a lot but I rather Overwatch (after it came out)
But thanks for the recommendation :)
