It's ok - there weren't many worthy games this year anyway. The lack of a contest of any kind (wishlist raffle, coal hunting etc.) though is saddening. New Year happens only once a year and Steam holds major sales 2-3 times a year - they could've made the NY's one a bit more special.

(Truthfully, the economist is probably right, if he's telling them to hold back on the usual extreme sales -- in the long run, it's not great for gaming, while these decent sales probably are. Not to mention, I'm sure Valve is making a platinum-plated mint off the Community Market -- hopefully that goes visibly into HL3.)

there were some very nice games on sale for example borderlands2, hitman absolution, dead island, dishonored... i bought 5 copies of dead island and if i had not most of the games i would have bought the bethesda collection - the best collection ever in my opinion!

Amazing, better than I expected even though I bought only CS:GO since I have huuuuge backlog of games. But there were some nice sales (Dishonored, Skyrim, CS:GO, etc).

Nexuiz (Amazon retail) - I don't know why people don't like this game. Some say that it is unoptimized but I don't have any problems playing it.

Thanks to THQ's bad condition you can get their games for cheap. I don't really know what to think about it, whether it's good or not.

I really liked the look of the scribblenauts 33% off, the walking dead 50% off & RPG maker VX ace 50% off but my mum said wait till christmas day so I'll have to say its been bad for me -.-

For me nothing... just one Garshasp and a Penny Arcade 3 to give away and a Ace of Spades...

I've been underwhelmed by this sale. The only game I picked up was Natural Selection 2 for $10. That was a good deal at least.

I hate this. I got: Sniper Elite v2, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, DOOM 3: BFG EDITION, Mirror's Edge and Prince Of Persia Franchise >.<
