Why do you enter giveaways?

I enter giveaways for games i want to play plus the feeling of winning something is awesome. :3

I have to admit that when I was new here, I was entering GAs for games I wasn't all too interested in O.o
But I came to my senses and started to only enter giveaways for games I genuinelly wanted to play.

Recently (yes, only recently, lol) I discovered the Wishlist category on the home page and now I only enter those, with some exceptions :)

I leech games I want to play.

If it is on my WL there is a reason why i want it so i will enter any game/dlc from my WL :P

simple criteria for me: only thinks I really want to play.

When I first joined, I entered some giveaways simply because the chances of winning were alright.
Now I only enter giveaways for games on my wishlist aka games I really wanna play at some point.
(Still got such a huge backlog but I promise I will play them all.. at some point ;_;)

I enter for WL games only and I'm sure you hid something for me here, but I can't find it

To be able to play great games which I really wanna play but are also too expensive for my stingy ass.
(A game doesn't need to actually be expensive for it to be "too expensive" for me, if you get what I mean.)

i am in a bundle group, so of course i also enter for the +1. i usually don't enter for expensive games, if i don't want to play them. but for cheap bundle games? yes, definitely. same goes for my own giveaways. i don't expect anyone to play the games they win from me, except when i explicitly say it in the description (which i believe happened only like 3 times or so in my 1500 giveaways). i just don't like to tell people what they should do with the game they won. :)

also, i wonder why we constantly see these threads with this exact queston. and every time the OP says "well, of course i enter only for games i want to play!". don't want to offend you or anything, but i always wondered if people just want an answer, or if they really do this to tell everyone how good they are. ^^

I enter for +1 at bunde games. AAA games only when I really want them, but since I am not active in giving anymore I got kicked of some whitelistes and the most groups I am in are not that much active anymore in creating giveaways. Oh, and tragikos Event is running atm, so everyone I know is doing the good giveaways there atm xD

I only enter giveaways for games I'm interested in and that I really want to play. I don't have the time to play all of them right after I have won them, but there will come the time when I play them ^^

Why do we even play vidya games

I enter giveaways for the games I like (and money for games isn't easy to come by for me these days.)

I enter if I wan't to play game :)
But there are different reasons I wan't to play them :)
Either i heard that game is good or I heard that game is terrible (and wan't to try out if it really is that bad).
It's in one of my favourite genres (like first person shooters or VN) or something absolutelly new to me.

I enter for games which I would play, or in rare cases if the game simply looks interesting. I'm not lowering anyone's chances at a game they want either (I stopped doing that since some time ago). The only exception in that is the massive 50+ copy GA-s, I always enter those.
