I know the feeling, it's been rough here as well. To anyone going through something similar. Try to keep outdoors time to a minimum and get yourself a personal air purifier to keep the air in your home free of particulates. If you're not getting enough sunlight, make a habit of taking Vitamin D supplements too.
P.s thanks for the train!

All great advice! There's also a lot of DIY options to filtration too! Thanks for stopping by.

Hoping the rain really kicks in and dampens everything down.
I live in Australia and as well as being horrified by all the fires burning in different parts of the world, our government/news announcers have started in on warning us that this is what our summer will probably look like. We have just had 3 relatively mild and wetter than normal years - now we are starting up on our drought cycle so we had a mild winter and not that much rain so far :(
Best of luck with everything.

Thankfully the area received a much needed touch of rain yesterday, but as per the usual, we're left wanting a bit more. One of the fires is around 60% contained now, the other is still going fairly strong. There are over 900 firefighting crews still fighting that one.
I believe there are 6 large wildfire's burning in my state currently. There are 4 more in Oregon just below. Can't forget about the ones that have been ravaging Canada all this year either. It feels apocalyptic haha. My area received a fair amount of snow last year too. I was hoping it'd really help the overall conditions of our forests but years of dry conditions and little snowpack seems to take more to heal than one good winter sadly.
I wish you the best in the upcoming season. Hopefully your fire crews and local authorities are able to get a headstart on things in order to lessen the destruction as much as possible. Perhaps a bit of rain too if possible. Drought is ever common but never welcome.

Fires sound horrible. Luckily my country doesn't see much forest fires. And the ones we have are quite small. The biggest one was in a peat bog. I don't know if this is the actual term in English for it, but it gets super dry when the bog is being worked. And there was a huge fire and nearby towns had warning for smoke.
Apart from that we just mostly get some minor floods, big hail (some two three weeks ago cars got damaged and people got hurt) and wind damage. All in all your typical global warming symptoms.
Either way - stay safe. Hope it gets better.
Also thanks for the train.

We've always had fires of varying severity but this year is especially bad. Too many large fires spreading and stretching our resources to fight them thin. I'm glad your area doesn't see too many. It's not a disaster I would wish on anyone. It does sound like you have your own set problems nature likes to throw at you though. We don't flood much here thankfully. Given that the city is mostly concrete there would be nowhere for the excess to go anyways. It would likely overwhelm our sewer systems, it would be a nightmare!
Thanks for the kind words! You stay safe as well.

Thank you! It's clearing up slowly but surely with the changing weather. Fires are still stubbornly kicking but my hope is it'll be better controlled sooner rather than later.

There are too many wildfire's near me. The two closest are wIthin 30 minutes and both hAppen to be over 10,000 acres. That's a lot of land torched and the smoke is thick and heavy as well. As if that wasn't bad enough, I already had serious sinus issues ongoing. I'm not sure if it's the smoke or the antibiotics but I feel like I'm slowly dying here. On a side note, being under the weather has its advantages. Baldur's Gate 3 is a blast.
Thanks for coming to my
