Do you have a diagnosis in the autism spectrum?
I am not diagnosed, but I might have a mild form of Asperger's three people in my life a friend, colleague and my mother have all said I might have it as all three of them have known other people with Asperger's.
Although my issues are basically just social difficulty, discomfort and lack of self-esteem but these are quite common outside of Asperger's I believe.

yes those can be related but it doesnt have to be related

My middle brother is autistic. He is high functioning and he has been struggling recently (despite being 28, he is kinda going through a teenage rebellion sort of thing I suppose? That's what we were told by the organisation that assists him and helps people with autism find jobs and trains them.), but he is a sweet man. I can thank him for my love of video games because he introduced them to me and we use to go to arcades together.
He's facing some major changes in his life right now. He has made it clear he is ready to start taking steps to be more independent and we are trying our best to give him opportunities to practice that. He is hoping to live on his own in a few years, but he said he wasn't ready just yet. We do have resources available for him whenever he is ready, though.
I think the hardest thing is how little people understand it and how he gets treated in public and online. It's my first reaction to confront people like that, but I have to remember he is a capable adult and doesn't want his little sister being a guardian for him. It's so hard especially after being there with him with the bullying and abuse he dealt with in the school system and having to step up and take control of the situation. I also was an assistant helping special needs kids when I was in school, so it just comes at reflex for me to jump in.

really nice of you, wanting to help your brother that much

Aspergers
Disadvantages: after therapy, the only problems that normies don't have are related to metabolism(apparently autism sometimes causes anomalies in that), thinking with images(hard to describe, but it isn't as fantastic as it sounds) or sensory weirdness. Those can all be controlled with medications if an actual non-retarded, non-moneygrubbing psychiatrist writes the right ones. Thankfully, we have public healthcare here so i am treated as a patient, not a client.
Advantages: "Sensory weirdness" can cause pleasant sensations, especially the sense of touch in my case. Ability to learn random bullshit facts about the world can be used to start interesting conversations.
Problems in the ordinary world... well, mostly how there tend to be autists and non-autists out there, that give us a bad name. It's a bit hard to tell other people about autism due to it being treated as a joke, due to there being assholes trying to "help" or "spread awareness" while sounding retarded instead. I only tell close friends about it, but it feels weird sometimes. Well - at least i don't have bigger problems, like other autists i know.
Overall, i feel pretty good with it - i don't want to "cure" it completely, since it would be like making a blind man see... and most cases of that ended in madness-driven suicide. I have friends, i go to an university, i could probably get a job without having to study if things got rough... well, "that feel when no GF" is haunting me at times but i think i am making progress on that front ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

thanks for your input
And indeed it doesnt have to be a problem to have autism. I see both advantages and disadvantages to having autism. Like you I normally dont tell people in RL
And good luck withe progress :)

I have CDO. That's like OCD but I put the letters in the right order. :D
I could do a Sherlock quote here as well but I won't.
Thanks for the game Yoshi. Should I win it, it would go to the top of the pile, so many more games like this should be made.

My cousin has a son with mild autism. He's a really great kid, he's lucky to have good friends and he loves music and he's in a band now that is doing well gigging locally. But I get upset the way he gets treated sometimes - especially on social media. He looks a lot older than he is and he's handsome and popular but he's a bit socially inept and he gets trolled a lot for it. I don't know why it would hurt people to be more understanding and less negative...

yes its really bad how some people talk about autism
Thats why its so great someone created this game

Bump.
Well, actually disorder from autistic spectrum doesn't necessarily make people tard. Just socially inept/having hard time. Some of them are actually very smart like anyone.
Short answer : yes you f**ing tard... for playing CS:GO :-P ^^

Thanks for bringing this game to my attention probably will buy it down the road since one of my daughters have Asperger and might enjoy it. Overall she's a pretty happy girl and we have the school testing her for home schooling. She hit 4th grade this year and in our rural part of Delaware it means she goes to the high school next year and we are worried about the bullying and chaos that will bring to her. She is currently playing mine craft and badlands so hopefuly she'll pick up the game fast.

Hmm, just a bump and in relation to my post before a more serious story and sorry for the lingo in advance:
The girl I was talking earlier about was at the same school as me back in the day. She was relatively shy and didn't talk much until she got into it with some try hard-wannabes. They were all relatively harmless and would later leave that stuff behind, but there was one sick fuck in particular between them who tried to lure her into the woods - literally. Fortunately her brother called her coincidentally and was nearby and consequently beat the living hell out of him. Unfortunately- this guy never returned back to school and moved or something like that, otherwise he'd have had one hell of a time :x.
Just wanted to share this story, dunno why but it was stuck in my head since my first post and I had to get it off my chest.

I was wondering according to this older thread https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/u7ub5/personal-autism-awareness-were-just-like-everyone-else how many people on steamgift have an autism (related disorder) I was diagnosed too with autism
Cause the gaming community is sometimes associated with autism.
What difficulties do you have in the ordinairy world? Do you have any other disorder related to your autism?
What do you see as (dis) advantages to (your) autism
Update: only 2 days left in the autism awareness week http://www.autism.org.uk/get-involved/world-autism-awareness-week.aspx
And this game is on sale: http://store.steampowered.com/app/511630/
giveaways are over
