What games have you entered to win and immediately regretted entering?

Mine would have to be Once Bitten Twice Dead and The Slaughtering Grounds.

For me Witcher 2, i enjoyed the first one, but the second one is just meh, tried to start it 2 times (one without mods, and another one with mods that break some stuff) so... :(

I understand that you don't like it very much (in fact I also love the first one a lot more than the second), but really? Worse than voxelized or bad rats? :P

I don't like Witcher 2 too, first one was a lot better. I don't like the Witcher series in general though.

dungeons - the dark lord
I expected it to be something like Dungeon Keeper to be honest, and it's not. I don't say that it's a bad game, but I was disappointed in it and I simply cannot look with good eyes at it.

I bought the game with those expectations, and yeah, it was a disappointment :( Dungeons 2 does a better job at being Dungeon Keeper with a twist, though it's still not as good as Dungeon keeper, as you have direct control of your creatures in the overworld, and it feels like a sluggish RTS. Also, the jokes in that game are already starting to feel outdated, and the game is not even a year old.

I used to enter for about everything (not anymore though, now I rarely enter GA's, since I now can afford to buy any game I want), so there are a few. From the more recent ones it has to be GRAV Reborn. The controls for me just make it unplayable. I always have my mouse sensitivity extremely low, but this game doesn't have an option for that, so even the slightest movement from my mouse makes my camera go wild. Even changing DPI on my mouse (which is already very low) doesn't help.

All games are beautiful. :')
And I'm surely not gonna complain about a game that someone bought and gave it away to me. -_-

My first win was Soulbringer and I still don't know how to make the game start, so thats the worst win. Maybe I Should stick to GA that is known for working flawlessly?
I was given postal 2 from my friend and that would be the worst gift, since its hard to tell whether I'm inside a house or outdoors. Some graphics glitch ...

Except for the developer giveaways,

Warlock 2: The Exiled.
I play/finish everything I've won because I only join those that I really want. But Warlock 2 was such a disappointment, I could only play for 5 hours. First one was good though.

Voxelized ... Thought it would be like minecraft ... but the world is smaller, the graphic is crappier, just one click for one block, no crafting, no death, no ... ... ...

Bad Rats is the worst game I've won. However, the best game I've won, and the best game I'll ever win; is Serious Sam.

Serious Sam is amazing. I still play it once in a while. You can just turn your brain off and kill a nation of monsters. :P

I went through first and second encounter, liked them. 2 liked it too but BFE was just a mess, I didn't even finish it :/. They seriously killed the fun of Serious Sam with BFE. Hope they don't do that with 4 as well.

Until now I didn't even know 4 is happening. Sweet.

Why didn't you like 3 though? To me it seemed like any other SS, just in better graphics.

4th was announced in Croteam's Steam group a month or 2 ago.
The reason I didn't like BFE is probably because the graphics, it just ruined the fun of SS for me. I mean those childish looking graphics were cool, the jokes and it wasn't scary back then, especially when that headless screaming thing coming at you.

I think it would be just wrong to call any game I've got here "worst". I may enjoy these games or not, but still, someone has bought them so that I would be able to play them, and it would be ungrateful to complain.

Hmm. Like some others have said, I haven't won many bad games, since I only enter for ones I want to play. Still, just because you were interested in the game doesn't mean it couldn't turn out to be bad. There's some odd tiptoeing going on in this thread.
Anyway, probably "Stop Online - Battle of Words", from a 2000-copy dev GA. It's online-multiplayer-only and no one plays it, so...

The worst is Uncrowded. The most unplayable is Trouble in Manor (since it's MP only and there's no one playing). The most disappointing was The Masterplan. I wanted that game so bad. I was so excited. But in the end it was a slow game with a horrible tutorial and just ridiculous controls. :/

This giveaway for PARTICULARS

Unfortunately, the key was for another game called "Particula" (already owned it).

In the end, GA creator be apologized to me and support deleted it. End of story :(

No such thing. Why would anyone enter a giveaway for a piece of shit game that you don't want?

Because one needs to play a game to consider if it's good or bad for him/her? Though I can talk only for the title (worst game), not for regrets. I have totally no regrets about any of my wins, while there is a few obviously bad ones there :)

All of the games that are THAT bad are already famous at this point, or maybe I should use the term infamous. And even supposing you don't know a game, one search in the Steam store usually is enough to paint a pretty clear picture of whether it's something you want or not. But some people want the horrible games, being completely aware of what they are, just out of curiosity. I can respect the concept of "so bad it's good", since I apply it to movies all the time (although never to video-games, because ANY video game can be categorized as FUN or NOT FUN and if a game reaches the adjective of "horrendous" it can NEVER be fun, regardless of how hilarious its fails might be), but these game are usually so ridiculously expensive that it feels downright like a chore to enter giveaways, rather than just buy them outright. I myself would have no hesitation in buying Bad Rats, for example, since I'd pay only about 50 cents for it during a sale, but...WHY??? Entering a giveaway for it is like asking someone to give me the contents of their trash can, so I can carry it home in my hands.
