The Surge is a great game but has it's flaws; it is a bit clunky from time to time like Lords of The Fallen was. The limb cutting system is quite fun and sometimes you gotta take some risks if you want to have a change for the boss to drop his weapon for you etc. Also they are still making a one DLC for the game, can't really tell more about it but it will be coming ^^ Also Surge 2 is in the works <3
I just found out that this game was made by guys behind LoTF moments ago before reading your comment while I was watching a review video. Glad to see LoTF was successful enough for them to make another game.
I kinda have mixed feelings about DLCs. I want them because I feel like I wouldn't play a full game without them, but they also end up costing more than what they're worth considering the amount of content they add. Then I end up not buying them but also not buying (or playing if I already own it) the game at all.
Yeah, I remember when games had expansion packs which were nice add and contained quite much content (for example Quake had nice expansions!). DLCs feel like the main game has just been divided to smaller pieces and all those pieces were ready when the game came out... but they just want more money :/ Walk in the Park is nice DLC but I would wait to buy it when it is on sale, it really does add new things and nice story but it isn'tworth 14,99€. Especially if one buys the game full priced!
I liked LoTF a lot, especially the looks of armor and the soundtrack! Shame that it didn't qet any sequels... Well I can always play the game through again ^^ Such epic theme!

Also the dress is dlc too, has op stat boosts and gives small vibration when secret areas are near ^^
