A mix of the Music, the scenes, and for Durarara!! in general I always like how they do the 'previously' mid way through the opening.
Also like some of the Magical Index openings.

No closing really jump out at me though, probably cause once they come on I hit page down twice to get past it, the preview, and onto the next ep lol.

For music, nothing beats Tank!, although Attack on Titan and Evangelion are also great for other reasons.

But my favorite opening is Nichijou OP2 (English subtitles). OP1 was very good (What’s in an OP? – How Nichijou Gets You Ready to Laugh - A way too deep analysis of Anime openings), and people have talked at length about subtleties in the animation. There's also a fan-made English version of OP1. I like OP1, but OP2 is even crazier and less predictable. I prefer things I can't see coming. Nichijou is full of "Wait, what?" moments, and the openings reflect that.

For nostalgia purposes, probably Ranma 1/2

For the music itself, love the beautifully haunting vocals of Elfen Lied opening

For endings... One Piece's original ending

and not an intro/ending but also fond of Bink's Sake 2 years later version from One Piece as well

Opening and ending of Steins;Gate

Probably this one: Mantama

Other than Mantama, Gintama's endings like 20 and 5 and openings like 5 and 8 are very very good. Especially 8.

Also the "suits" ending is also good. (:

i don't watch many animes,i'm more a TV series guy but i've seen a few popular animes and my favorite intros are these:
