I was working on an Amazon contract at a logistics company over Christmas and I've been getting a lot of ads relating to Amazon since then. I may also have posted a bunch of Amazon store links when I was discussing upgrades to my computer. That's my explanation for the Alexa thing.
I've also been doing a comic recently and googling a lot of things like 'woman cropped top' for reference pictures. So I guess that is why it thinks I'm interested in shopping for womens fashions.
Before that I'd been googling looking for new game controllers and so I was getting ads for games controllers. And so on and so forth.

Actually I just noticed that on the Google ads, you can click the "X" in the top-right corner and it'll explain why you are seeing this ad, and you can tell it to stop showing you that particular ad.
