Portal 2. Don't get me wrong, it sounds like a good game and I liked Portal but the main problem is... my PC cannot serious run it. It simply doesn't want to start the game.

Wasteland 2. The official trailer clearly reflects the quality of the game. I thought it was a joke.

I only regret two purchases.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. - I fckin regret purchasing it, even bacuse it was at 50% discount. Not because it isn't good or i don't like the style. No. But because I was such an idiot not reading minimum system requirements. Doesn't run on my old donkey -.- :D problem is the GPU. So I forced my brother to give me his graphic card. With it MESoM runs, but looks like Minecraft in 144p. I uninstalled it and now it rotts in my library.
Company of Heroes 2. - I played hundreds of hours in Coh1, was very good at it. So I was very excited about CoH2 and pre-purchased the game. I hoped so much and became extremly dissappointed. Total gaming hours of CoH2 are 23h. Makes no fun. In the beginning enemies are to strong but they get weaker and weaker and weaker. Sometimes I think I'm playing againt a french computer. "OMG, Wehrmacht gets to strong (after 10min). Better stop doing anything and shit my computer pants!"
All my other Steam games are bougth cheap wile Sale and on Keysites or I got them free. Since I rly loved to play CoD years ago (last one i bought was Black Ops) and saw how crappy and expensiv this shit becomes I said to me, never ever again buy a game at full price if you are not willing to play at least 100 fckin hours and more! :D

I don't really regret any purchase. I have some crappy games but I got them for free or via trading so it's alright.
Even the ones that I didn't end up enjoying that much I got to play when I lost my internet connection for a few days(this happens every few months, thank god for Isaac, Dungeons of Dredmor and other short indie games).
But if I was to point out one I guess Xotic(got via trading) or The Ball(bought) would be what I regret the most. They looked great but one of them controlled like ass and the other was too spooky and I simply stopped playing because of it.

Urban Chaos, a hybrid child of Fighting Force and GTA3.
The open world seen in GTA3, mixed with the linear path taking of Fighting Force = Urban Chaos. The levels force you to follow a pre-defined route, so you are not free to explore the level -- the "other" areas are innaccessible. Still the game graphics/openness are impressive for a 98-99 game, but you will be tearing hair out once you get into the gist of the game..... only in the 90s can this happen.

Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition the worst my purchases and Dino D-Day, game fun, but next day it will free (

Watch Dogs. Payed full price as well like an idiot. I raged for about 2 hours (and then some more next day) to my friend on skype after I actually finished that ridiculous piece of wank. Played multiplayer for about 3 hours altogether before getting bored. Haven't played in months. Totes worth its price >.<

Since this Steam Holiday Sale isn't the most interesting, how about a thread of the worst decisions you've made purchasing games in your time on Steam.
I'll start. Purchasing 3 copies of Afterfall Insanity 2 days before it was given out for free. >.<
