I think what's important about picking a name is that 1) it can't be shortened to an embarrassing nickname by other kids, and 2) it sounds good when said in conjunction with your last name.

I've always been a big fan of Malachi (from the Hebrew, meaning "God's messenger", or, more generically, "messenger".) But whatever decision you make will be the right one.

Congratulations and best of luck!

I saw a lot of "Aiden," but I'm going to suggest "Adrian."

The name "Adrian" itself is not particularly special (allegedly, it comes from words meaning "sea" or "water"), but I like the sound of it, and I was originally inspired to keep it for my own son (someday) because the only man I ever knew that had that name was someone I respected a lot.

Somebody already suggested "Isaac," but they didn't really give a compelling reason. Not only is it a recognizable name (Isaac Newton), but it means "laughter." What a positive name!

Also, you're the Joker, so you should totally be on board with that! Lol!

Congratulations!

We usually went with something that rolls off the tongue, so to speak. Perhaps a combination of names you and your wife have picked out (as long as it's not something he/she would get teased for). For us, the name needed to sound strong, but sound good with the last name as well.

Congrats on your soon-to-be "little man" and enjoy them while they're young. Kids grow up way too fast

At some point my name was very rare here where I live... Evan.
I would suggest that for your kid... Don't mean it narcissisticly.
It's an Irish named derived from John. ironically that's my second name
Last I checked it means "young warrior".
OOo, in any case, congrats man.

Please only give your child one name, seeing the trend in indonesia is many gave their child with many name. It will be easier for them and for the others.

Congrats! you must be really happy and proud! I envy you.

as for the name, just name it Kratos or something, lol just kidding.
Earl - the name was an old English origin. means warrior prince, nobleman.
Todd - for more masculine name, I think it means cunning.
but if you ask me, I'll keep it short and not so unheard of. saves him time a lot of explaining.

Hi, congratulations on being dad! is an amazing experience, i'm dad myself so i know you gonna enjoy it so much. Is gonna be hard at first but it will become something incredible as well.
Thinking of names for boy and Indonesian or Japanese names, i've made a little search and come out with this names:

  • AKMAL (Arabic: اكمل) – lion This one looks strong and solid
  • CANDRA (Javanese) / CHANDRA (sanskrit) – *moon* this one i thought i could come handy when he grow up since girls might wanna call him "my moon" and stuff like that, not sure if in Indonesia that would be like that
  • DARU (Javanese), a boy name means – meteor Another great name with a great meaning and solid male name
  • FADIL (Arabic: فاضل) – honourable, outstanding This one just seems nice to pronounce and the meaning is great as well
  • INDRA (Sanskrit) is meaning – *excellent, first *I pick this one because is your 1st child so seems appropriate
  • EKA (The first born child) Same as above
  • AKIO (bright boy) Who doens't want to have a bright boy as his son, perhaps this encourage him to work hard to make honor to his name
  • ICHIRO (first son) Again 1st son also japanese name and cool sound, seems the right pick somehow
  • SEIICHI (correct first-born son) Variant of the one above and of course same meaning too
  • SHOICHI (prosperous first-born son) last but not least another variation of first born son but this one has a little change in the meaning adding PROSPEROUS so feel right

I could spend hours looking for cool names, but instead i look for names related somehow with being your first child, and some Indonesian names i felt could be handy for the kid or maybe strong and solid ones.
Let me know what you think and which one do you like more if there are any lmao :P
Wish you best of luck for you, your wife and your first child!
Have a bump!
