Yes, it's been confirmed. When you activate on Steam, it will only say those two, but when you launch the game, you have all 3 DLCs

I got one for a friend of mine. Its most definitely for Steam and altho it says "Download" instead of "Online Game Code", it does provide a Steam key.

Wow. Some killer deals. I'm assuming Steam will have to match most of these as well.

Steam has no policy in place to price match Amazon as far as I know.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Heh. Yeah. Maybe they do, maybe they don't. It was an assumption based on market choices.

Amazon isn't having a sale in conjunction with Steam's by accident. They've been on top of things all year in matching Steam's pricing on a ton of games.

Paying tax is the only thing that occasionally keeps me buying from Steam.

If Amazon had a similar service to Steam, I would jump ship in a heartbeat. Steam's customer disservice is SO bad and Amazon's so good that it wouldn't take long for me.

I'm guessing that most of the titles offered at Amazon will be same priced at Steam. They seem to mirror one another.

No matter how many games you buy, you will always get $5 back right?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yup, if you bought 100 games (no matter the price either) you'll get the $5 credit for each game. Keep in mind though, the credits are for specific titles only when the list is published (after 1/3) and they DO NOT stack. Its basically $5 off, but you can get stuff for free if its $5 or under.

Im thinking of getting one of the thief games. Which one should i get? Should i get all 3? {The pack](http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ELJRIDS) will be $5 starting the 24th, so want to know if i should get them all. #1 will be $2, #3 will be $3(No special price on #2. Have to pick up the pack if its any good)

Just get the pack considering the price. They're all quality games, but they are very dated IMO.

OP you're passing along some bad info in the opening of the thread.

The $5 credit is only good on Editor's Choice games, not anything.

"From November 21 through December 31, 2013, purchase anything from the Digital Games Store and get a $5 promotional credit to spend in the month of January on our Editor's Choice Best Games of 2013 (Editor's Choice titles will be selected in the coming weeks). Customers will receive a $5 promotional credit for each qualifying purchase, but the promotional credits cannot be stacked on top of each other when they are used. Customers who qualify for this promotional credit will receive the notification e-mail on or within 48 hours after January 3, 2014. Please remember: Holiday promotional credits given out for Digital Games purchases cannot be redeemed until January, 2014"

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

The sentence can be read two ways. "Get $5 Editor's Choice credit usable in January. You get this credit for buying anything in the digital games store." He's not passing along bad info, it's just being read incorrectly.

Region free. Every single key of MGR is region free. Its just the steam gifts that are locked.

Source for this?

All I have seen linked is link to Developer Key (which give instant access and access to non-public versions), but retail keys will likely use same sub than Steam Store (It has keys assigned to it, per SteamDB).
No game has used this (CrossRegionTrading no) before so how you can be so sure keys arent region coded?

"CrossRegionTrading"

(It only affects trading/gifting on Steam, has nothing to do with keys)

also, here is the key sub

Guys, if I buy XCOM bundle, will I be provided 2 seperate keys or just one key for the base game and expansion? I already have XCOM:EU. Should I even consider buying Enemy Within?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

If you mean this package "XCOM EU + Enemy Within - 19.99", then yes, you will get 2 separate steam keys (I bought it too). And enemy within is a great expansion with cool new content. However, with all games nowadays, only buy it if you want to play it NOW, because otherwise it will probably be cheaper when you finally play it ;)
