This is it guys. I just learned this. They are to charge 50 dollars for the game see 50 Euro's for Season Pass. So all who pay the game $60 or $70 must pay another extra almost the entire game price 50 USD/EUR just for Season Pass DLC.

"THANKS" EA. Worst of all GREEDY , Companies that force people only Multiplayer games and ASK big 1 month Salary for their games 1 time pay for the game then second time pay for the ability to play Online .... SHAME!

Announcing DLC content before game is even out is like telling people
" Pay us 60 USD/EUR for for the game, we will give you half of it, now pay 50USD/EUR more and we will give you the other half"

I wouldn't have complained if companies wait for the game to be released , let the people say what they want added, take their feedback and then announce DLC or Season Passes and stuff like that.
But announcing DLC pre-release and it costing almost the game's price is disgusting and Greedy act not only from EA but from other companies as well.

Unfortunately it's not just with EA... but many other companies. They are robbing people to pay for game then pay again for "DLC" stuff.

GTA V - microtransactions in a full priced game. they try to milk you, too. and are something like the kings of DRM, with several layers of DRM for many of their games (including GTA V). rockstar is as bad as all the others, if you ask me. ^^

How DICE fell to the EA side is beyond me. They used to be a good company, now they suck.

GTFOutta here, EA. I was thinking $50-60 for the game was high, now you want me to double that?

Not like I wasn't expecting something like this though. -_-

Same here.
EA were voted "Worst Company " back in time, I think they want this title again.

Yeah, I still love EA was voted "worst company" because they have expensive games and didn't want to put games on Steam, not companies that practically enslave people and rob people in daylight due to having better lawyers.

I hardly buy the new EA's game anymore since BF 3. This is one of the reason why.

The Forbes article makes a good point about how this kind of DLC disrupts the community when it's strictly locked to a multiplayer environment. You get six people together who have the base game, but only three can afford the DLC. If this is among a tight group of players, it means there's a lot of content you won't get to play with all the members of your group. If they aren't fond of PUGs, it also deflates the experience for the DLC owners.

Some games can get away with a season pass, i'll bet you my whole steam library fallout 4 season pass is worth the money & will be additional content instead of stuff that should've been in the game for free. But I bet EA will be pumping out small content for ridiculous prices. I own Crusader Kings II search it on steam if you don't know it, that game has the most ridiculous DLC if compared with any game on steam. €50 for a game is acceptable but I barely buy anything above €20. There are too many good games available for free or under €20 too give in to the hype.

The funny thing is im not surprised.

  1. Its EA and DICE, they always put Season Passes in their games nowadays (tbh its a trend like microtransactions :( )
  2. Its a multiplayer only game :/

Its just insulting though how they have the balls to sell a £45/$60 game which is multiplayer only (with a survival mode which looks meh at best), no campaign (which this game would do great with tbh), from what I have heard not too many maps and giving us possible microtransactions.

I loved the BETA and would love to buy it Day 1, but I just can't bring myself to do it with all these negatives :(, once again evil game corporations strike again!

Well, that settles that. I'm not getting this.

Can't stand the pre-order bonus thing... I want to see some reviews of the game, know what kind of maps are in it, before I buy it. Yet if I don't pre-order it, I essentially have to pay extra. That just makes me not want to get it at all. Then they go ahead and throw in this expensive season pass nonsense and I've just lost all interest.

the worst ive seen of this is activision/bungie with there game destiny, they charged $60 for the original game that had the first two dlc's locked on the disk(leaving the game very short with no story) then charged $40 for them and the day the dlc's came out the original game was broken for anyone who did not buy the dlc's,then several months later they release a $40 dlc that again makes the game unplayable for anyone who did not buy the latest dlc,so basically they charged $140 just to get the game the way it should have been from launch,

i dont see how a company can charge $60 for a game then a few months take it away from everyone if they dont buy a dlc then do the same thing two more times after...very dirty, i will not be buying there next game.

That feeling when u had to have a Rumble pack to play a game on the N64 >< ;p

anyways there is always money to be made from games in some form of way eventhough i do agree on the price is quite high for a non sp game or offline mode game if u are going to spend loads of amount of time in it. It could be worth in the end [could be as in my opinion*] back when i played WOW since vanilla i enjoyed it quite a lot and there u had to have a subscription wich cosst even more. The problem with dlc sometimes is though that it breaks playerbase unless u have a system where 1 guy has dlc rest can join in such as payday2 or borderlands 2 iirc one of the 2 iirc less players with the dlc ends up people playing only base game resulting in people getting annoyed by not being able to play the dlc with some people endng up quitting the game wich ends up with even less of a playerbase [and in long run end of playerbase ......?F2P mode :O ]

if you late for all games and buy GOTY versions with -75% once the hype done for all new games you will have good games to play allways and once you played them you have again as current games gets bit older so you can buy them cheaper. Nowadays games gets pretty fast an acceptable discount so not hurt to wait half year or so.

OK, just a thought: would everyone be happy if they released the entire game for $110 from the start? So they would say nothing about DLC or any season pass, but only: "our game costs $110".
