While I have Origin installed, I never use it.
I'm pretty sure I've never paid for anything on there, though I do own a few games on it that I don't own on Steam.
I'd give you a complete list, but apparently I can't even view the games I own without firing up the client, and I can't be arsed to bother. It's incredibly dumb stuff like that that keeps me from investing any faith (or money) into the thing.
Still, it was worth installing to play through The Saboteur (not available on Steam). I have no plans to ever buy Mass Effect 3 or anything else that's an Origin exclusive though.
[edit] If Mirror's Edge 2 ends up being Origin-only, the only thing EA will have succeeded at is pissing me off. Exclusive = no deal. Sorry DICE :( [/edit]

I turned Origin hater just last week after it screwed my computer over and now I have to restart my computer every time I turn my computer on again so my internet can actually WORK. THANKS ORIGIN.....

I never used Origin because I like to have all my games in one place. I don't want to have 3 clients in my PC where one is a fucking spyware and has 1-2 games. Also, EA hates Europe, so Europe hates EA too (I'm from Europe duh). If there is any EA game I have a dime of interest in, I torrent it. That pile of crap company doesn't deserve any money. Did I add that Alice Madness and Darkspore are still fucking 50 Euros here?

You can buy EA games from Amazon, the prices there aren't screwed. And I do keep number of services as my game library, Steam for generally all games, GOG for old games, Desura doe indie games and Origin for EA games.

People just love hating, even despite the good exclusive they don't want to use, and why? Of course it isn't as good as Steam, but Origin is decent too even better than steam in number of aspects (client itself in terms workability, and the costumer service, much better than the crap they call "costumer service" in Steam, also I do like the user interface of origin better)

Dude, Origin PC is a company. XD Origin = Software

Went out to a restaurant for lunch today, and ordered a side of Steamed vegetables.
I moved them to the edge of the table and left them for nearly two hours, but they did not produce any trading cards ;__;

I use origin for the 2 exclusives I own (ME3 and BF3) but I don't open it often. As others have said above I think it was stupid for EA to pull its titles from steam, they should of kept them on both as it would of increased sales.
I also don't agree with them saying they wanted to create a digital distribution platform to rival steam and then pulled its games from steam so people didn't have a choice. I mean how can you rival something but not selling the same products and letting the customer decide which they like better instead of being forced to use one or the other?

I don't use Origin because my account on it got hacked and I can't be bothered to reclaim it. There was nothing but freebies I didn't care about on it anyway.
And, of course, since I'll never buy anything from EA, setting up a new account is pointless.

I simply don't want twenty different game launcher programs on my computer. Origin, GFWL, UPlay, Desura, Steam, Rockstar Social Club and so on. It's ridiculous, every publisher that sells more than 20 games a year needs their own launcher. That's why I stay away from anything but Steam, and even Steam I only installed because nowadays you can't play 90% of games without it anymore without pirating them. I'm glad I'm not interested in most EA and Ubisoft games anyway, especially the big titles like Battlefield or Assassin's Creed don't interest me at all.

Look no Origin installed can't stand EA.
I do have an Origin account and games on it; BF3, which I've not played since they released "Premium", and Dragon Age Origins + Expansion and DLC which isn't that great tbh). I don't miss either, its just a shame I ended up wasting my money on them.

I only have Origin because I own Battlefield 3...and I hate it because it has a lot of problems, like sometimes I have to login to origin when I start BF3 from battlelog, while I already started origin and logged in..., then it stops at syncing saves, and I can't start the game etc. so I personally HATE it.

I don't really hate Origin or UPlay, I just hate the way they were designed and the fact that I am forced to use more platforms.
But the game is the one that makes me play it or no, not the platform.
However, I prefer to keep things simple so Ubisoft games go only on UPlay (Ubi retail games are cheap here, FC3 E20 on day one so I really have no problem with this) and EA games go on Origin.
Other than those 2 I only use GOG.

why people get origin: to play bf3 (most cases)
why origin is good: my friend bought bf3 for $5 on origin, good sales now and then but rare
why origin is bad: small library creates bf3 bugs

Origin = Big Shit.
I'm from Poland, but I live in Germany from a short time. I cannot speak German.
There's no option for language change. So I used VPN/proxy for Polish client download. Normally Everything is in German (store, accout etc.). But this is nothing - worst are game prices. Steam is best. Hope Origin Die until 2014.

So if you buy a game and download it. Is the game's language also in German? Does origin have any option for games to change their language?
Even though I speak German and live in Austria I just don't want to play any games in German because the synchronization is awful for the most part.

A lot of hate for origin... I've played several EA games and they seem okay from what I see. I don't use Origin just because I don't want to. I don't buy from Origin because I don't want to use their client to play games... I don't buy things just because they're cheap. That includes bundles as well.

only have origin for crysis 3...was a super fast download, but steam has way better deals. I also just like the steam format ALOT better ;)

People who hate Origin are eather haiting it because they just hate anything that is more or less related to EA or people who forgot where steam started.
Remember when you bought Half Life 2 and there was that thing called steam you never heard of which was required to be installed in order to play your half life 2? That thing you needed to install which ate your RAM when you tried to play counter strike. Origin at launch was less crappy than Steam was at launch.
How evil for EA to relase BF3 or Dead Space 3 or Mass Effect 3 exclusively on origin, right? Not like Valve who sells their game on every digital store and allows you to play them without having a steam account...
I don't like EA. I don't like most of their games and their general idea about gaming. But as far as my EA hate goes, Origin is quite decent.
Also here is one thing which I always wanted in Steam which was implemented in Origin almost since launch: Hide Games. I wanted this thing since TF2Beta wass added to everyone's library and I'm still waiting for it in steam. I wonder how lond do I still have to wait.

Also, I especially like the feature where Origin looks through your personal documents, for your own protection. It's good to know someone is watching over you.
They have this cool feature where they turn off the servers for old games so that everyone can focus on the newer ones. That way nobody gets left behind.
Also, EA's exemplary ethics make the Dalai Lama look like an unholy splice-up of Joseph Stalin and the Son of Sam...

Don't worry Gaben on the other hand is always watching you..

I don't use Origin because I don't trust EA as far as I can throw them, which, seeing as they're a legal entity rather than a physical object, isn't very far.
There's been a few incidents of bans, or threats of bans, for rather petty reasons. Instead of going through the whole rigamarole of buying games, making what should be rather innocuous comments in their forums/requesting refunds for broken games, then having them take my games away, why not just skip the whole process by not having the games in the first place?

+1 i also got banned for a wrong reason (and i had proof but they just ignored me and threatened me with an other additional ban if i would continue discussing) and could not even play bf3 SINGLEPLAYER. origin as a platform sucks imho (bad games, bad deals, spyware and EA!) and ea is truly a criminal organization

Do you really not use Origin at all or do you just say it because this is the internet? Why? Who cares about pride, games are games.
Edit: Forgot to mention I mean for Origin exclusive games. Of course steam is the best! Sometimes there are great deals on a game like Dead Space 3 or Mass Effect 3 and people don't buy it because it's on Origin. It's never coming on Steam anyways so just buy it!
