Do you really not use Origin at all or do you just say it because this is the internet? Why? Who cares about pride, games are games.

Edit: Forgot to mention I mean for Origin exclusive games. Of course steam is the best! Sometimes there are great deals on a game like Dead Space 3 or Mass Effect 3 and people don't buy it because it's on Origin. It's never coming on Steam anyways so just buy it!

I've heard that Origin was pretty bad at first, haven't had any issues myself...
They certainly have improved by leaps and bound and with their crazy promotions it's pretty rad.. There are occasional hiccups but that's normal for all platforms..
So in conclusion I can say that Origin is not a bad platform my only issue is that I don't like my games split in to 2 platforms (steam and origin :( )

I have Origin installed on my pc, and I actually use it quite a lot, is the only way of playing a good football game on PC (FIFA). I also have some games that i got for free during the disccount-coupon-fail, some months ago.
Ps: Steam doesn't pay us, so why should we be steam-fanboys? I'd like to have the whole pc catalag in just one platform, but that is impossible. This is about gaming, enjoy.

Why the hell did you even make a topic about this? So freakin' retarded.

Used it once because of BF3. Now I rather skip all EA games, plenty of other games to fill my time (+ the new EA games just arent that good so I dont really miss them: BF, Simcity, etc..)

Cant be arsed to explain (it again :p) why, others probably already did. Even if it got way better by now, I still dont care, my hate towards EA goes deep :p

Why exactly would I ever trust EA with anything?

Origin was horrible when I bought BF bad company 2. I hate EA for ever making the damn thing. They made a crappier version of steam because they wanted more money, there was no real need for it. I stopped playing BF and therefore stopped using Origin. Probably never going back, especially considering they've only been pumping out crappy game after crappy game lately.

I only buy Origin exclusive games. I wish I didn't have to use Desura either tbh...or GOG...or Gamersgate. But bundles sometimes have games for Desura and Gamersgate and GOG has some games I want. I don't really have any complaints about Origin so far other than I don't like having additional programs and the Origin store UI is terrible.

When bundles come with Desura games, I pretend that game doesn't exist.

The thing is, you can get a free Steam key from some games after they're Greenlit. Like Aeon Command.

I dislike Origin because:

A) I don't trust EA

B) Origin seems to be designed to shove advertising in my face, as opposed to make my life easier in terms of gaming (where as Steam does what I'd like it to do and seems designed that way).

"You people amaze me". Hah.

The advertising that pops up when you log in, that has no button to disable.

Oh I thought you meant regular advertisement.

And so what? Steam is more annoying, it pops occasionally when you finish playing something.

What Origin has can be hardly called a bother.

I don't know what's the deal with origin, but in steam you can disable the pop-ups in the settings.

Not a fan of Origin, dont like the interface, dont like the launch to site to buy things... just doesnt appear as put together... just an opinion
but the big thing i hate (and steam does it too) is the launchers to launch launchers to update launchers to launch launchers to sign into a launcher to play a game

EA are scumbags, but despite that I dont want another app for running my games. IDC about exclusive games, its their loss.

+infinity

having one app for games on pc is more than enough and if other companies force you to have another one than I wont buy their games, its their loss.
(This is the reason I dont own Dead Space 3)

I don't particularly like origin, mainly because I already have steam, and that does its job well. I hate having to have multiple game platforms on my PC. But it doesn't stop me from buying a game that's exclusively on that platform. However, I will only run origin, uplay etc when I want to play a game on there, steam is the only platform I run all the time.

I use Origin. When i want to play a game which is only on Origin avaiable...and thats like never, maybe again when the BF4 Beta stars, should get an invite...

On the other site is Steam which has an Autostart Entry in my Windows+a Chat.bat to join all the chats where i idle...

So yeah...i mostly never start Origin :P ...and i dont care for dead space 3 or mass effect 3...they will come to steam again...sooner or later, i cant care less :D booth are not good games...

Only Battlefield can convince me to use Origin :D
