It's too early in the morning for me. I hadn't even considered image search lol.
Ah well. Each time I play, I learn a little more. Give me a month and I'll have this shizz mastered ha!

I think it's pretty good that you forgot to to obscure cuz that seems like a very arb non-mainstream title so you might have broken the game. :P

It's an amazing "game". Like, I loved it when I was a kid, but thinking back, it wa very much an interactive novel, rather than a game.
I think I just had a crush on Isabella Rossellini's voice lol

What happens when folk pass? Who posts the next image?

Well I'm out of games. The only modern Demolition Derby games I know are the FlatOuts, Showdown and Next Car Game (which doesn't have a version).
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh. I didn't think someone would do it again so soon XD
Which is why I never mentioned it as a guess actually.
Is it already worth getting by the way?
Comment has been collapsed.
Ok...so me then? In the interest of moving the game along I shall assume so
Time for a hint? You might have detected that some UI was left in on the first image (the tank) at the bottom... but actually the entire image is UI.
Oh wow. No guesses overnight. Time for another clue. The tank is a lie. Focus on the 2nd pic (which hasn't been filtered btw or glitched, that's an actual effect in the game). Also you might see that the right and left sides of the pic look a bit different. To the right is ground and to the left is sky..
And another clue, or rather two:
The genre for this isn't any sort of strategy. And just like the last time Vecchia was very close and yet just as far away as everyone else.
Wow...still nothing... erm...how many genres do you guys know where I can be perpendicular to the horizon? And then something in common with Endwar/World in Conflict...and a certain stealth emphasizing Shooter (and another shooter)?
Sneakblade got it. It's Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X
You get that UI tank if you are targeting one. And Vecchia was close because World in Conflict is also a Tom Clancy game just like Ghost Recon (stealth emphasizing shooter) and Rainbow Six (the other shooter).
I'll post the full screenshots later.

Haha. I'm glad Google doesn't know what's potting without me applying 64 filters to the image.

No.
2nd image added.
Should be obvious to people that have played the game now.

Well it's the second one but close enough. Your turn.

As the other guy said. Just posting screenies from H.A.W.X which I'd posted in cropped form before. (scroll up)
It's still DelaryHap's turn.

12 hours is too short...some people have to sleep and then work...which in total exceeds 12 hours by a couple
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, reading the above I saw that the response time was set to 24 h, so I guess out of fairness we could give DelaryHap another 4 hours to respond?
Anyways, I will be sleeping by then, so if they do not respond in time; anyone reading this, feel free to post the next shot.

Sorry, had problems logging in via authenticator :/
Anyway, here's an underrated game ( that's hard to run on PC sadly :c ): http://imgur.com/a/pp1Ek
I don't know how to do how you guys do with the pictures, sorry :c

I've created a poll for participants of the game to vote on what they'd prefer, a 12-hour or 24-hour no reply grace period before game reset / losing turn. If there is a strong majority in favor of change after a week or two, then let's change the rule :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Right when we have two almost 24 hours gaps...this is going to go fantastic for those of us that don't spend the entire day at home.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm also personally of the opinion that 24 hours is the more reasonable timeframe, especially considering timezone differences, but I think if a large majority of the thread participants would prefer a faster moving game then it's probably best to adapt the game towards that aim (within reason).
In any case, I'm planning on leaving the poll open for at least a couple weeks, and will be regularly adding updates to the thread so newcomers or people who missed it will see it and register a more representative tally of the actual game participants.

I voted for "Something else", and my serious suggestion is 18 hours. 24h seems to be a little long, 12h is definitely too short, so I think 18 would be a happy middle.

You don't want to say where you might remember the name from. Trust me on that.

I don't tend to just guess in here, and even then, only when I found some seriously similar screenshots (like my PES guess, the shirts' color/pattern/sponsor, looked identical to a screenshot I found).
All in all, it did take me a several different tries approaches, spanning over several hours, to find that game - so nope, not easy - but it's still so much more satisfying than just getting the answer on the 1st google search, so keep it up! (the difficulty itself, not your belittlement of it)

As for my previous reply - I was totally kidding (I should have added a winking face there to avoid the eventually misunderstanding).
I am - like you - absolutely aware that guessing games titles in this thread is more like detective job. Of course, for people (like me or, I as suspect - you) who have played a thousands of games in their lives, some guesses come instantly, but mostly it's an effect of quite an investigation. And yoy know what? I enjoy spending time on that difficult ones, even if someone sweeps the board before me.

Yes, i guess. Only played the first one. This picture is from TV-spot from the 3rd part:

Either Xenoblade or Xenoblade X. I haven't played Xenoblade X yet, so I'm just covering my bases. =P
Comment has been collapsed.
I love Xenoblade! Xeno games in general are great; I'm a huge fan of Xenogears and Xenosaga, too. Xenoblade is indeed a big game and is well worth the time. <3 I still want to get Xenoblade X. I'm not sure if Shulk is even in that one, but I would have felt cheesed off if there was a similar scene in Xenoblade X and I missed it by only guessing Xenoblade. XD
Thanks for the ball and the reference! ;) I'll get one up ASAP... one that isn't as obscure as last time. >.>

You've got it! =D I thought it was a very fun game, and the story was pretty good too. I somehow doubt the real tale involved humanoid lions and dogs, but hey, creative liberties. ;) You're up!

Yay! Yes, I really enjoyed the game too, kinda got me interested in the legend/history and went on a Joan of Arc media binge after playing it. I don't know how accurate the 1999 movie "The Messenger" was, but Milla Jovavich in a Luc Besson / "Fifth Element" historical mashup kicking all sorts of ass was really fun to watch. :)
BTW, I've been playing the Dragon game you very graciously sent me in short spurts, haven't had a chance to get deep into it yet. I think I'll have to give it a dedicated go with my controller at some point, but have been trying to do it at work on my keyboard and work distractions keep cropping up (-_0)

Joan of Arc is a really cool historical figure. I admit that Jeanne d'Arc actually got me interested in her too. I haven't seen The Messenger, so I'll have to make a note of it. =) The Fate series also has some interesting tie-ins with Joan and Gilles, so that's yet another reason for me to recommend that. XD
Glad you've been able to play at least a bit of it! I used a control the entire time, and it played quite smoothly with it, so that sounds like a good plan! =D

Maybe Age of Empires 2 might be something for you as well. I'm not quite sure if it was in the original game or the add-on but one of them had a campaign featuring the story of Jeanne d'Arc. Also it is a very good game...well if you haven't played it already. It's not exactly an insider title. ^^'
Comment has been collapsed.
I haven't played it and I didn't know that was a part of it. Something to consider, at least. =) Thanks for bringing it up!
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, Joan of Arc is the hero for the french campaign. Though to be fair the heroes don't really mix up the standard RTS gameplay so I wouldn't say it's a must-play if you are a Joan of Arc fan.

Well, I don't have a picture to post, so skip me :)

I really love the mood of that game. The beautiful, sobering symphony of the end of the world.
Totally agree with this! The soundtrack is a major contributing factor, with those haunting sobs in the background and everything. Quite chilling.

No joke, I literally started using Steam seriously during that sale. I had seen a livestreamer play three games that looked awesome, and they were only on Steam. Then I saw the sales prices... and welp, never looked back. XD Over a year now; hard to believe!
I'll have another picture up shortly, didn't think I'd get another one so quickly. =P

That's the one! Please tell me you didn't actually subject yourself to that atrocity. XD

Duelist of the Roses was... decent, if nothing else. It certainly was better than Forbidden Memories. =P Did you play the card game IRL?
Comment has been collapsed.
Duelist Kingdom did an awful job, yes. XD Battle City actually did a much better job of following the rules, but since that was the second season and most kids saw the first, well, first... =P

0_o It's a WW1 RTS? No clue what it is but I feel I need to know.

Really narrow? Well then I will hazard a guess. Empire Earth?

I know, I was joking. I don't think there's an actual game by that name.
