Most obvious choice: Better Call Saul. But it only has a few episodes. If you want a ful show: House M.D. It's my favorite show of all time, although i did like Breaking Bad a lot too. Funny thing, it's the exact opposite of BB. It's about a man who starts out s a total ass-hole, but cannot change and become a better person, despite wanting to do so after realizing that if he doesn't, the solitude will eat at him. As opposed to Walt, who starts out as the nicest guy in the world, a perfect model of the middle age family man and then slowly transforms into a remorseless, homicidal sociopath. I highly recommend it.

Some shows I like and reccomend:
Rick and Morty (cartoon, sci-fi, comedy) ~ the entire first season has been free on may free legal streaming services
Stargate SG1 (sci-fi)
Saving Hope (not the typical 'day-time-soap-hospital' show, much better)
any of the Sherlock Holmes portrayed by Jeremy Brett
The first season of True Detective was really quite good.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia... some of the most out there plots, dialogue, and stuff, still funny to me.

I may be in the minority, but I like Person of Interest
Also, a new show just started on the playstation network, POWERS :D

I also watch The Mentalist and Castle for my dramay detective type shows.
For my csi sort of shows, I only watch NCIS, and NCIS:NO (though honestly, both shows are starting to become unenjoyable).

I'm also liking Helix (sci-fi, medical?), seems to be sticking to the centrel story, but can get a little winded for me.

Of course, the Game of Thrones, Black Sails, and other adult themed shows, if you are into over abundance of sex scenes.
(often showing penis, and still not a single shot of a vagina EVER in the history of cable tv :P)

edit: Archer (s1-4) funny cartoon, and Grimm is ok too
edit2: I forgot, Community, I like it. While my sister prefers Parks and Recreation.
Also, don't over look Buffy, or Angel. :D
Dexter s1-2 are great, s3-4 are ok, then forget the rest of the seasons.

Wow...there's so many.

I'd recommend Homeland...the first season in particular is excellent..though it really feels to me it tails off a little and really loses its way in the 3rd season..I'd still check it out.

I really like the characters and the way it depicts the battle waged in america between the CIA and islamic terrorists, it's really suspensful and raises all sorts of moral questions about modern society and the government surveillance culture that seems to be springing up everywhere. Damien Lewis and Clare Danes are really good in it. It's definitely my kind of show, YMMV, though.

Last Man on Earth - funny sitcom (well, for me it's funny). It has a running plot and different from other sitcoms..
