It's a shame. You're missing out on so so much.
I've just been replaying Stalker: Call of Pripyat using the MISERY mod, and my god.. It's amazing..

With indies and shooters, I never mod.
With TES, I just use graphic enhancers and mods that make the game run faster.
But with all indies and FPS, I never mod.

I disagee with what you say , with careful selection of mod, you can enhanced the game without disrupt the vanilla feeling

Agreed, there are many vanilla and lore friendly mods for most games.

yeah that why it only take me a few minute to install, but require me to spend a whole week to check the mod

You know, you only take a few minute to download and install the mod, but You may spend a long time on SkyrimNexus checking, comparision....etc to decide which mod will you use

I tend to play vanilla until I get bored of the game. Some games quickly devolve to cheating and ridiculous modification. xD

For my 15 years of gaming I haven't played a mod that makes a game better, only worse and more unstable (excluding multiplayer ones like DOTA, CS etc.). For me, mods are there to add a bit more gametime, but most of them are just unimaginative and annoying. SKIP

I'd like to see you playing broken games, restored to their awesome glory by community mods.
Two come to my mind:

VTB was pretty much brought back to life with those mods, they did an amazing job. However that and some very few games are the only exceptions to me.

Vanilla (I usually use raw for a non modded ubpatched game though) first, then mods who add more functionnality without changing the game.
Games like The Elder Scrolls and X series being my prime target.

I prefer chocolate chip pancakes, personally.
And most of the games you listed are pretty boring without mods.

al the games you said are basically boring and not fun without mods. trust me i have al of them

The only mods i use are those that fix bugs (see Vampire Bloodlines unofficial patches, or Fallout 2 unofficial patches), as well as graphical mods (Minecraft, AA addon for games), and in some very particular cases, some that tweak valors which are unrealistic to me (see The Witcher 2 inventory capacity for example)

Heya!
As much as I know, a lot of people tend to like to mod games to make them "better". I on the other hand, love to leave the games exactly as they were "supposed to be played". Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind and Minecraft for example. I don't know anyone else, except for myself, that plays those games in "Vanilla" or "raw" mode. When i mod those games, it just doesn't feel the same D:
I did, though, mod the HUD of oblivion. but that's it D: Anyone else? o-o
Edit: P.S. The only game that I've REALLY modded a lot, is Saints Row 2. Because that game is unplayable without Gentleman of the Stillwater (or something?) mod.
