So what was the name of the last game you ever pirated and Why?
I ressntly had to pirate a copy for Mass Effect 3. I bought a key, activated it in Origin, next day the game was gone! Origin support was just painful. They kept me bouncing back and forth from EA help to Accounts Help! After a month I just gave up!

Do you pirate games?

View Results
Yes, I pirate them regularly.
Yes, I can't afford to always buy original copies so sometimes I pirate.
I only do it after I have paid for the game at least once or if it is abandon ware
No, I never pirate a game no matter what!
Does Assassin's Creed IV count?

Nice move: "Does Assassin's Creed IV count?"

The thing is when I love a game, I should own it. I don't feel I own the game if I got the pirated copy. I should have it on steam to feel like the last sequence of finale of Breaking Bad! And then I feel the lovely game and I, finally found each other and live together until death takes us apart and then we shall join each other in paradise(heaven)

One more thing: I pirated about 95% ofubisoft products and 95% of AAA games before 2015 and since 8 years ago. In high school, if some one wanted a game, he would come to me and I would borrowed the games to him if I just knew his name. Many of them didn't bring my games back.so I bought some games twice and filled the empty space in my collection of pirated games (I didn't know even what pirated game is at that time.thanks to no copy right rule for forign digital products in Iran)

I think I tried whether Witcher 3 would run on my hardware. It didn't, haven't played anything else than MMOs and games from my Steam library since then.

The Sims 3 and all the expansions, because EA is practically asking for that game to be pirated.

Same. Despite actually owning Sims 3 and a few of the expansions.
The supernatural expansion stuff was frustrating. :|

Sims 3 and 4 for me, cause dang, that is just way too much expansions and if you want cool stuff you need to buy stuff from store too. Even on latest sale for 3 it was just way too much still.

NBA 2k16, I only play single player mode and I can never really justify the price because sp mode gets boring after awhile.

Crysis 3 I guess (I didn't want to pay for it 'cause this game (how I figured out when played the 3rd title) is just like another Crysis, without inovation, except the place maybe. They put us in the jungle and that is it (boring).

More than 3 years ago I played pirated Skyrim. And I was playing it even night before my microbiology exam mumbling to myself "OMG go to sleep or study, you've got exam tomorrow you stupid animal!' xD

Some time ago I downloaded game from torrent "Do I really want this game or is it just taking space on my WL on Steam?" But I haven't even installed it. Just threw out, I have enought games to play anyway.

Funny thing is that I have more games than I can play in since I have made my Steam account. Before that I was just replaying KOTOR, ME, Portal 2, Gothic 2 and few others over and over again because I wasn't aware of dozens of great games xD

Weeellll... Technically I pirate OoT for an N64 emulator, but does that really count if I already have 2 copies of that game lying around here, hidden deep behind a lot of other stuff?

Ah good point, I've pirated several of my old console games, despite owning them. Played through Journey to Silius & Mr. Gimmick a few months ago on PC, despite owning the cartridges and a working NES.

I used to pirate games regularly before I discovered the world of bundles and wonderful Steam discounts.
The very last game I pirated was Assassin's Creed, the first one. Was some... two years ago, and AC was on a discount a few days after that, so I unistalled the pirated copy and bought a legit one :)

GTA 5.... i got it legaly on rockstar, but seriously, their downloader is uttercrap and is an insult to the gaming community. It would took me 25 days to download the game with h 24 downloading. the worst is that even if it download 20 kb/s, it paralysed the internet for my whole house, i don't even have a clue how that is possible... for one of the greatest game with humongous budget it is a shame.. Also it bug every 5 min so you have to download 65+ giga with resuming the download every 5 min, for 25 days, h24.... SO... in the end i downloaded a pirated copy, i got it in 3 days of downloading, no prolem, no need to babysit, and it work fine... Never ever buy a rockstar games wich will need to bee downloaded by their downloader

I've downloaded loads of maps, levels, modifications, mutators and patches but I never pirated even once. All my games are retail hardcopies and online games that I've bought.

I know; boring and old skool but honest and legal! ^ ^

Assassin's Creed Unity was the last game I pirated but only played a quarter through before the bugs made the game unplayable. Traded for it a week later and now I have 40+ hours on it. Steam updates had eliminated the bugs so had a smooth playthrough. I used to pirate before coming to Steam but I ended up buying all the games I had pirated.

I'm trying to remember. Personally, I'm fine with abandonware (games no longer sold or supported by the publisher), though it's still piracy, so it was probably some old-ish DOS game, and it was probably not overly long ago.
