Was interested until I saw the "members are expected to contribute one game per month." As a college student (going to become a game artist no less), I sometimes have money and sometimes don't. Oh well. Have fun, ladies!

I don't understand why would any respectable girl intentionally label herself as a "girl gamer". You're not a "girl gamer", you're a gamer or better yet someone who plays games.I don't walk around saying i'm a guy gamer, guy businessman, guy driver, guy writer, guy blah, blah, blah. Stop sticking so close to labels

Someone posted this here a week or so ago...I knew I saved it for a good reason.

I showed my boyfriend this thread and how pathetic it's gotten and this happened.

Girl on the 'original' picture did it as a retarded joke, since she kept getting comments that she loves her XBox more than her boyfriend, or something along those lines.

You mean you don't gnaw on your computer? ...Well, damn, and here I was thinking I was normal.

Great thread...I'm sure your "gamer girl" bride will be along shortly so you can live happily ever after.

"Primarily", huh? Means, every sucker on steamgifts will be allowed to join as long as he keeps providing you free games. How attractive.

Facebook isn't exactly a very good means of proving ones gender. Anyone can create a FB account under any name, throw in a few random images and start talking to people on there.
If your really desperate and enjoy wasting time, create some fictional family on there to connect to as well.
That would be just a tad creepy, but easily done.
You invariably run into the problem that many people aren't willing to share their FB account with random people online... a few already said as much in this thread.
Also some oddities like myself that simply don't use FB.
I suppose I could share my YouTube account with videos, but I'm not convinced that's much better proof then a Facebook account would be.
If you really want adequate proof, require a scanned submission of legal ID... of course I doubt many people would be willing to send such to you. Or require everyone to connect to you on Skype and webcam to prove who they are. That's probably much more reasonable.
Still a little time consuming to chase you down on Steam to get you to connect to Skype them but plausible.
