link (thanks veebles!)⬇

Key for Planar Conquest should be sent in next week.

People, don't panic. It's just a mistake on G2A side. They've just started this feature so I'm not even surprised they could make a mistake or they haven't been prepared for everything. I'm sure they'll resolve your problems, just write a ticket and be patient. They have probably like hundreds of thousands people sending tickets right now + they have to resolve the issue with third-party player like Pay-Pal too I guess.
Okay you can start to panic now xD Such a mess.

1. They've started to refund unwanted subscriptions.
2. They have started sending Planar Conquest keys. This might be helpful: thanks Adrole

When you click on the link from the e-mail it takes you to the G2A Deal page but there is also a small blue bar are the top of the webpage with a link to get the Planar Conquest Key, it was not obvious at first.

I bought a bundle, although I already had a subscription (After G2A Deal #1). And then they gave me a bundle by subscription two times...
After that I deactivate "G2A Deal Monthly Membership", but steel not receive "Planar Conquest". I'll get it?

The codes below need to be activated on Steam before 29th of May 2017.

Is this true?

  1. Yes, the codes have to be activated before 29th of May 2017.
  2. You'll get Planar Conquest. You won't get next Deal's bonus game if you'd like to subscribe again.
  3. There's some bug with multiple subscriptions, they are working on it (check OP for more info).

Thx for your answers.

Yes, the codes have to be activated before 29th of May 2017.

How it works?

You'll get Planar Conquest. You won't get next Deal's bonus game if you'd like to subscribe again.

When I get Planar Conquest? And how I can activate subscription without payment?

How it works?

You won't be able to activate it - probably it would be something similar like the dev would revoke the key before installing.

When I get Planar Conquest?

You have to be subscriber of previous G2A Deal who has never cancelled it (until now at least). I don't know when you'll get it, I didn't buy any of their Deals and I only know what people here say. All informations I am aware about this issue is in OP :)

And how I can activate subscription without payment?

I'm not sure what do you mean.

Same here!!

Here is the email I sent them:

Hi,

I also got charged twice for this bundle and given 2 bundles. I haven't
reveled the keys of the second bundle.

I demand my money back as I didn't subscribe for 2 bundles, only one. The
paypal account used is ... the Paypal transactions
are:
7RM...
4W5...

I am right now reporting the second transaction (4W5...) as not
authorized to Paypal, as this is totally unacceptable!

Technically speaking, this is a junior level mistake. An "idiot" executed a batch script multiple times without marking the customers as being processed. I'm pretty sure of that. And each time the script was executed, those customers were processed again and again and for some again and again.

This level of stupidity that gravely affects their already crappy image demands some sort of compensation for all the troubles introduced by this error to their users that in good faith kept their subscription, against the odds, this way giving G2A a chance to redeem themselves of their shadiness.

I didn't open a dispute with PayPal yet, concerning the additional charge, since I'm waiting to see a resolution from G2A in due time. But these "bugs" are gravely affecting their already shady image. And before jumping to any conclusions I will give them the benefit of the doubt and allow them the chance to sort their internal issues and address the problem concerning their affected clients, myself included. Otherwise, I will proceed to further actions, although I hope this won't be necessary.

I did and probably worth reading my comment above as apparently paypal won't cancel the transaction

I don't agree with PayPal support's reply and without going too much into detail, legally speaking, you are entitled for a refund as long as you did not reveal and activated the keys.

Comment has been collapsed.

Don't worry I made sure I didn't reveal the keys and still haven't done ;)

It's a legal minefield which TBH I don't want to enter

I think you are right that G2A will resolve the situation and provide refunds and fortunately it's not a massive sum of money if they don't so either way will put down to one of life's lessons ;)

I'll never understand this. Would you stay with your GF if she cheated on you ? You said so yourself (and I thought the very same), it's such a junior mistake I still can't believe it impacted something as important as payments, it shows just how inept they are and how much disregard for quality they have. Yet people still choose to pour more money into G2A's pockets, because ... well, because you're being too nice I suppose. Just remember, by giving them money and not opening a Paypal dispute, you are essentially telling them "it's ok to suck", and believe me, they will listen.

I have a lot of experience with backend systems, huge processing systems and in short with fixing critical things up after various idiots messed them. According to this experience I have seen with my own eyes how easy it is for a generic idiot (to be read as lacking in experience and cocky enough to act on behalf of the entire company) to generate huge costs by typing one single line of code and executing it without supervision. And the bad thing is that such things can't be resolved by simply firing that person considering the complex implications and business related costs that are implied. Therefore, not all such events are malign by definition and it's usually recommended to give the company the benefit of the doubt as long as they react in due time and address the issue. This is fair in my opinion and I will proceed as such.

Comment has been collapsed.

I fully agree, and I'm not implying that the double charge was malicious in itself. Coming from roughly the same background as you, my personnal view is that those things can be avoided by means of very strict code review and coding standards policies, higher involvment by senior staff and/or management, careful and automated testing, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. More often that not, those practices are disregarded, usually for lack of resources. Those jokes we always hear about management taking early estimates as final deadlines are speaking about those decisions to affect insufficient/inapropriate resources to projects, and I've always seen that as a manifestation of a focus on company profit vs user benefit/usability that is pushed to an unhealthy point. My point is that while the mistake is an honest one, I believe they sort of let it happen by consciously disregarding quality, and the frequency of those things happening to them reinforces that impression. I choose not to give them my money because I feel it would condone that way of doing things. Maybe it's because I'v seen too many managers shrug things like that off that I'm being such a bitch about it :)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yes, such things can be easily avoided even by implementing a basic quality control stage which is usually bypassed. But since everything is usually outsourced to the least bidder such things are more frequent than ever nowadays.

On the bright side, I've just received a message from G2A saying that my additional charge has been refunded.

Log into PayPal - click on one of the charges from G2A - and on the next screen there should be a link to click to disconnect from PayPal.

As far as how to do that from G2A's side of things - I don't know because I am now locked out of my account. I guess I complained too much.

Should I activate them first? Should I just wait to see if they fix it? Should I start a paypal dispute?

xDDDDD
Has been a long time without a mess in a bundle of this proportion.
G2A will probably refund users thru their G2A wallet (considering email content)...
Right when I thought this couldn't be worst...

Edit: They just refunded on my Paypal account.

Now they just have to revoke some keys... To round up the corners of this mess.

fucking great... so far they charged me 3 additional times and issued me 3 refunds. What they do not take into consideration is the fact that we pay conversion fee on PayPal unless we have Euros on PayPal already. I had PLN and USD on PayPal. Paypal converted USD all times. And even if they refund me 2.83EUR it will be worth less than USD amount I paid for because of their shitty error. Which happened three times...

I also received only info from g2a about refund. There is "It usually takes up to 24 hours for the money to be cleared out and reach your balance." at the bottom of the email, so we have to wait, and i hope that money will be back to my card, not as g2a wallet or paypal balance. In my case they canceled the order where i activated the keys from and left the other one

I've got same problem. No money refunded on Paypal, and also wrong order number. I tried contacting them, but they keep spamming me back with automatic message and different sender name and those damn useless 3% codes.

Will see if next week Friday this problem is not yet solved, going to refund all orders with Paypal and never buy anything from G2A anymore. Legit af when you get charged for nothing and then refunded to wrong address. Would love to see them get rekt.
