Hi, I just registered on the 26th (of September), but some "Jayne" asked me to post some nonsense here. She went to a "celebration" or I do not know exactly, and mentioned a transportation thing, with door on both sides: LVL3-ish, group-based.
Also it turned out that small pupils give a scared expression, so I have huge ones. Cute, isn't it?

Fun fact: train rolls until the 1st of October - Voodoo Graphics is going to be 20 years old that day. Did you have a 3dfx video card?

In English there is the saying "Eyes are the windows of the soul", however in Hungarian it is mirror (also it is in singular, but that is just a grammatical detail, we do not use that much explicit plural forms). I find that a little bit puzzling.

Fck your rules.

In Spain we say the same. "Los ojos son el espejo del alma".

My first "real" video card was a GeForce4 MX440, which I paid Dell something like $80 (in 2002 dollars) to upgrade me to. The whole PC cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $1200 - 2.4GHz Pentium 4, 512MB of RAM (which I later upgraded to 1GB - the other 512MB stick cost about $80 also), a 200GB? hard drive, and of course that MX440, driving a 15" LCD monitor.

Oh, the hindsight cringe...

But you know what? At least it amortized itself well - as a matter of fact, 14 years later, my mom still has it and it still refuses to die. At this point, I expect it will live to see Half-Life 3 announced. (Maybe I'll try playing it on that MX440 for old time's sake...)
