Or at the very list have a ban on the games in the Humble Bundle until the Humble Bundle is over.
I hate seeing all these games that people paid 6 dollars for on the site.

Really ruins the experience and awesomeness of this site for me ^^

My 2 cents!

every now and then this stupid old discussion...

Again: Be glad that this site allows bundle keys now.

Oh and all of you are "I just want to giveaway a game cuz i am so nice and BLA BLA BLA". Why complaining about contributor value then? You get something for it,better than nothing.

Why should he be glad?

By giving away individual bundle game keys the givers act directly against the Humble Bundle guys which tell you to not give away individual keys.
They can still play the games by directly downloading them from the humble bundle site -- so two people have the game simultaneously, which is not allowed by the Humble Bundle guys.

So by creating giveaways for individual games the giveaway-creators are shitting all over what the bundle is about and he should be glad about that?

that was not stated to the OP,it was in the direction of those "Bundle keys should be treated like normal games".

I completly agree with you and I am sorry if I didn't make that clear enough in my post.

Have you considered that there are people who might actually WANT these games and can't pay for the bundle? That's why there are 500+ entries for them. I mean, hell, you buy a bundle and just want some of the games. Why not give away the ones you don't want, hence gifts?

Just because something has a lot of entries doesn't mean everyone really wants that game. Many people just have a bunch of points to spend so they go down the list and enter everything for the chance to win anything.

This meme really needs to die. If you live in a first world country, chances are that EVERY problem is a first world problem. On a gaming site no less..

They're not for a start. Humble bundle say so, they can't be given separately.

The only time I give away keys from bundles are when I already own the game or if I really don't want it. Plus this comes from a person who has never really done anything for the site or really even participated in the forums much.

It depends on the games and whether they are for above the average. That being said a lot of the recent indie gala's suck and their games flood the site.

They give you points and a chance at the games in case you missed a bundle.

You can ignore them if you don't want them.

Problem?

I wanted that contribution value would be lower than 30$... And while myself have gifted here games that I didn't liked or had already which were from bundles, that was only that I didn't want my key to be not used- someone might be happy about that. Now I came to ninja giving games in random topics :D But seriously, they could do something with the value calculation :|Though on the other hand, people buy games on steam which could be the same as in the bundle, and then what..?

Bundle games are games just like all the non-bundle games. I believe the amount of giveaways would drastically drop if the bundle games were disabled, even for a short period of time. Besides, it would be pretty unfair for the people who bought the bundled games elsewhere, not being able to gift their games just because they happened to end up in some bundle. (Though I understand you could say the same about Dota 2 and Metro 2033. But those were completely free, you have to always pay at least something for bundles.)

I think it's enough restriction that bundle games give only limited contributor value. That way we see some giveaways of the bundled games, but people don't get to exploit the bundles too much.

Thanks for the comments guys ^^
And yes I was banned for regifting and am guilty as charged. To be honest didnt read the rules, once again that is my bad.
The other two games I got from another place and not a bundle ^^
Still definitely enjoying this site ^^

Enjoy guys!

why are we complaining about free games? if people want to go out and spend money so others can find something than why punish them or the games, not only are they helping us but they are also helping good causes. I can see the point where taking the bundle apart would raise their contribute rate faster but also refills our points for more giveaways to enter.

The way to solve this is by punishing people who do giveaways of single games and not the whole bundle.

It's against Humbles ToS to give out their keys individually. On that note, however, Amazon Bundles are probably worse than any indie bundle. Pay $10, get over $100 worth of full value (not impacted by indie bundle's limited value) games.
