How was the 2015 Summer Sale?
I honestly missed the entire sale, I was too fixated on that silly Monsters game.

I don't know, maybe it's the bad period I'm having in life, maybe I already have too many games on Steam to actually find interesting deals on the missing ones, but the Summer Sale sorta failed for me (bought 2 games only).
However the Monster Game was really addictive, I actually had a lot of fun (and less sleep) with it trying to reach 100M badge (which I got yesterday)! ^^

The sale itself was on par with the previous few (sometimes it had better discounts, sometimes it didn't).
As for the event, I wasn't very interested in the Monster Game until I realised you can actually beat it. Yesterday I did my best to reach 100M, and it was amazing to see how the community organized this whole thing and people managed to work together (on the other hand, the amount of trolls in the game was disappointing, but it's nothing new, Steam always had a lot of terrible people ruining/exploiting this kind of things for others).
To me it was a nice experience - definitely not the worst sale, not even close.

Mmm ... yes ... let's complain about thousands of games going on rather good sales that Valve probably has to spend a lot of time putting together. And let's burn them for trying a few new things. Yeah ... I would love to see anyone complaining here try to put together a giant sale that.
Either way it was really good for me.

It was meh-kay.
The game pissed me off a bit. Got to 500m, 800m and 600m the last three days. Trolls successfully ruined my badge.
Also the milestones were pretty weak. The badges not really that satisfying, considering that there was a gap between 1m and 100m.
Bought Chivalry which I really enjoyed a lot.
Bought a few real cheap games because they were cheap.
Bought Valve Complete Pack (uncut gift from an American friend) because I was waiting for it since last christmas.
So basically just one game for this sale. I buy more games during non-sales at better prices.
To me, it appeared like Valve is abusing the hype to make even more monies. Shame. Ding ding.

Grabbed the Prototype franchise, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance and the first game of The Witcher saga. Spent about 20€, which is the least I´ve spent in a sale of this type since I created my Steam account 4 years ago. Not complaining tho, got a few games I wanted for a good price. But that Monster Summer Game was just awful.

1) My second season (and first summer) sale
2) spent $100
3) bought 5 games for my friends
4) Monster game was totally suck (but drop of nice foil cards was good part of it =))
I've bought Portal (1,2), Fallout (classics), This War of Mine and Plague Inc, so I'm happy, 'cause I've bought everything I wanted and some more

With little more than 24 hours to go the 2015 Summer Sale draws to a close. What are your thoughts on this years SS? Did you buy a lot of games? Are Valve's sales getting worse? Was the monster minigame fun?
Personally I only bought a few games but they're real gems, however I feel like this sale was rather weak compared to previous years, Valve seems to be putting less effort every year. The monster minigame was interesting but unreliable, I prefer the good old community voting.
Share your thoughts. (Sorry, no potato in the pool)
