Like the title says, what was your first game on steam? You can find it by clicking your name in the upper right, account details, then view license and product key activation and scroll all the way to the bottom.

My first steam account was hacked by an ex and I never got it back, so I am not sure there. But on this steam account it was Skyward Collapse.

The very next day I got Psychonauts and Costume Quest.

GA 1, Let's Party! (At the moment, 449 entries vs 526 responses, wow!)
GA 2, Unexpected Guests? (378 out of 526)
GA 3, Uh oh, party invaded. (271 out 526)

The first game I activated on my Steam account was Football Manager 2012, on Feb 18th, 2014.

  • I actually got it as a boxed copy on Christmas 2011, but... I preferred to play it through... <ahem>... "other means", with the as I didn't like the idea of having to tie my games to an online account.

Although the first Steam redeemable game I ever bought was Football Manager 2010 (another boxed copy), on Christmas 2009.

  • Back then, there was a choice between key activation+disc check, and Steam activation, so I chose the former.

The first game I bought on Steam was Magicka. A month later I bought Torchlight II and that's how I started playing on Steam regularly and started neglecting non Steam games.

My first Steam game was Torchlight provided by Nvidia along with a cheap upgrade kit for one of my office PCs in 2012.
The first one I bought was Tomb Raider (2013) about one year later during X-Mas sale (also my second game on Steam,
meaning I rarely used Steam during the first year, only playing a bit of Torchlight).
Much more interesting though, my first PC game was "Ultima V, Warriors of Destiny" in 1989 on one of the first 80286 processors
at that time and with amazing 16 color graphics on a Genoa Super EGA graphics card.

First games(s) were from the Orange Box, so Half-Life 2 (I don't remember if it had both Ep 1 and 2 in it too), TF2 and Portal!
