How does it look to you?

Remember:

Not all games will show discounts right away because Steam apparently uses different way of providing content nowadays which prevents the store from crashing all the time like it used to do before, but because of it everything refreshes slowly. Also, some smaller games appear as having 0 reviews when that's not the case. Check steamdb for ratings if needed.

Wasting money on any sale except summer and winter is just silly :)

Not always there were several items last year that cos more in the winter sale than the autumn one.

Except winter and summer give you free games from all the mystery cards and other crap. No other sale does that so still purely waste of money. :)

All you get from buying games during Summer/Xmas sales are 10 cent cards for every $10 spend - 1% discount.

If you have Steam Wallet and want some game, there's really no need to wait.

If you have money you can just buy the game, no need to wait for any kind of sale, heck go ahead and pay double or triple price if you want to support them.

Otherwise no reason to waste real money or even Steam wallet now when you can just have it for free when winter comes. You also get 1 sale cards + emo + bg per every badge crafted, 3 sale cards per day usually etc etc. Sell that crap and you have hundreds of free money to buy games from the sale. Simple as that for me, everyone is of course free to do whatever they want.

Ahh, you mean to wait for Xmas sale if you don't have leftover money from previous sales on your wallet.
Yeah, if you somehow spend all the money on previous sales you can wait.

I have plenty, also unsold crap on market, but I have principles, only buy what I really want outside winter/summer. So it would require for something like that being on sale. Xmas comes and it's free games all around. :)

So either they read my post on their forum or not all Steam sales are active at the same time. I thought that nowadays all things are on sale from start to the end of the sale. Weird.

Meh, still overpriced IMO. I'll wait for 75%, maybe only a month away. :D

I'm in no rush to buy myself. But considering the previous sale on Fallout 4 GOTY saw Steam/Bethesda/whoever push the base price up to 99.99 € only to present a € 40 price tag as 60% off, this was definitely a great step in the right direction.

If you're thinking about buying the deluxe edition for Deus Ex MK, just buy the Complete collection instead. 13 cents more here in the U.S. and contains all deus ex games including season pass.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Most people considering Mankind Divided most likely already have at least one of the other games meaning it'll be cheaper still. Deluxe for me is £12.23 but the bundle is only £8.56 as I already own everything else.

I ran it on my CPUs integrated graphics and whilst the initial loading times where terrible the game itself was playable in most areas. That said I'm comfortable with much lower resolutions and framerates than most.

If you aren't going to get the XL Edition/Season pass though at least pick up the Reaper Missile Mech as the mechs where really fun.

I think it's because of the poor sales, despite the very positive reviews:

Those stats don't really mater as there is crossplay with Windows Store and XBoxOne Owners.

Yeah, Windows Store is notorious for having more players than I have fingers.

Though, the XBone crossplay is good. Hopefully that leaves the PC players with some players still.

I think there are more players on the Windows Store than on Steam as it was released only recently on Steam.
Furthermore it's a Play anywhere title and free to play on the Windows Store.

killer instinct is awesome game, wonder why people dont buy it.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Bad marketing. People knew Killer Instinct as an XBox exclusive and once the hype died down, no one cared anymore. In the meanwhile they release it on Steam and tell no one. Also, games like MKX, Marvel Vs Capcom, Street Fighter 5, Injustice and Tekken came out, so people have already gone to those games.

Also want to mention that Killer Instinct have god-tier OST and tons of singleplayer content, even proper campaign with XCOM-like earth map and crafting. It's definitely worth the price, i'm playing it daily and enjoying hell out of this game

and tons of singleplayer content

Could you be a little more specific? I like fighting games but I'm not very good at them, I rarely play online so the SP content is very important for me

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Let's see, this game have:
1) Standard 1vs1 instant mode
2) Standard fighting game story mode with cutscenes for season 1 and 2 characters.
3) Standard survival mode
4) Survival with "shadows", were shadows are copying playstyle of other players, basically offline battle against real humans.
5) Very detailed training mode called "Dojo lessons" when you can learn basics and advanced fighting techniques. There is 32 lessons, and i still need to beat dojo 16 lol
6) And finally, Shadow Lords mode, which is so complex it's hard to explain what it is in comments, read this - http://killerinstinct.wikia.com/wiki/Shadow_Lords

So far i played over 30 hours in KI and played only few matches in online, there is 30 characters and it could take hours to master them. But game is allowing mindless button mashing, it's just much more fun to play when you know how to make long combos and ultra finishers (basically fatalities). Also, i'll repeat that music is damn good and one of the reasons i keep playing it, i couldn't play Injustice 2 beta for long after KI because how shitty and uninspiring music was in it.

Killer Instinct is 50% off on Microsoft Store also. This is the only version that has cross-platform ranked play with XBOX One, Steam does not. No one plays unranked, so online is basically dead on Steam as you can only play ranked against other Steam owners.

Not quite true, i definitely played with some lvl 50 dude during first days of release, and it's simply impossible to reach that level in few days. But yeah, nobody bothers with unraked matches, but since i don't care about online i was playing almost exclusively in SP and it still worth the price for me.
