Hey everyone, our support family is growing today. We have 8 new users joining the team:

I think they'll be a great help to the community, and I'm looking forward to having them with us. Try not to scare them away! This brings our staff up to 24 users, although a few are inactive. We'll see if we can push that number closer to 30 in the near future to help reduce response times, and to spread out the workload amongst the staff.

yeah I closed mine, cause I figured that they didn't need to deal with my annoyance over little things :P, but then seeing the new memebers I thought about opening a new one on people breaking the calling out 'you have made the wrong giveaway' on my own giveaway - which made me a sad panda - but I resorted to BL and an insult instead - as I figured it was my own giveaway to point out the rules and insult on - no need to bother the new mods with my ass-hattery (over a continued miscomprehension of a single date) after all :)
still, it is nice to see the ranks swell and it appears to be working :)

If I can recall correctly, you said similar things about me when I first got promoted. So, maybe you should stop being an asshole and give them a chance. Thank them instead of always being so critical. Trust me, It's a refreshing take on life.

It seems they are working quickly, he is suspended already. So he can't say they are not doing their jobs (at least for 4 days).

But I agree with you, a thank you too all these hardworking people is sometimes forgotten.
And it probably motivates them even more then all these critics.

But you know, I think it is hard to understand what you all go through unless you have been a support-member. It's so easy to criticize

There are way worse users on SG. Constant trolls, religious fanatics, xenophobes, intolerant people and so like. I don't remember seeing any form of such negativity from KillingArts.

Fact that someone points to you your errors doesn't mean they are the worst. Same as it's bad when you don't have any form of self-awareness.

You are of course free to think whatever you want. I am just saying it might be a good idea to try and be nicer to people. Not only to staff, to people in general. Insults will not help you in achieving your goals. Doesn't hurt to be nice to people, does it?

Only one I don't know from the list is Eefrit, but I think all the others are great choices.

Hopefully none of them are power hungry like some others. If they are, I will try to scare them away, because obviously the rest of the staff does absolutely nothing about these mods who go around suspending people for no reason and who have obvious double standards about suspending certain users while letting others performing the exact same behavior off the hook. 👍

There are different roles that you can view here. Each one is limited to what they can do.
But when people are talking about support or mods on Steamgifts, they just generally mean anyone who is doing volunteer work for Steamgifts.
