Hello guys,

Yesterday I've done some giveaways with multiple copies (In Public : For Lvl 2 / 3 / 4). So I did several tests to see user behavior in Public GAs.

I have questions about that :

Do you think it's "normal" that when people win a gift, they don't say a little thanks/feedback to the creator?

Personally I am quite amazed at the number of people who do not say thank you (Only 3 feedbacks on my 18 lasts copies GAs)...
For the moment, I don't blacklist anyone for this, but sometimes I hesitate...

Just to know : When YOU win a GA, do you write a little feedback to thanks the GA-creator?

PS : Sorry for my bad english,

There are two (yes, two!) little presents for you : here :D.
Thank you for reading, feel free to answer and have a nice day ! :D

Do you always thank the creator of a GA you just won?

Yes, that's the minimum to say "thank you" when we win.
No, I don't waste time with it.

I will always thank someone for sending me a gift if I win a giveaway. Doesn't matter if it's public, private, whitelist, group, or otherwise.
It literally takes me 30 seconds or less to write a non-generic thank you, that's the least I can do to show my gratitude to the giveaway creator.

I've had the same thoughts, to be honest. Around Christmas I sent out over 200 gifts. If I had to guesstimate, I would say less than 50 actually thanked me. But at the same time, blacklisting is a little extreme - they haven't broken any rules. Also, way too much clutter on the blacklist.

I was thinking of just creating a group and inviting all the thankers, thereby filtering out the non-thankers - but I'm lazy and I haven't taken action yet.

One month later... wow that pretty long, maybe they saw a similar thread and felt bad about not doing it earlier, or got worry they would be blacklisted...

Yes, I think it's quite natural to thank someone after you've win one of theirs GA. If someone gives me something in real life, I thank them, so why would it be different here... I got to say it makes me a little disappointed when someone who won one of my GAs, doesn't even say thank you, I mean nobody's got any obligation to me and I am happy to give the game away either way, but yes it makes me feel good when I get a thank you from a winner. I've got to say also that since I do my public GA for higher level users, it's much more rare that I don't get a thank you than before.

Depends on the gift. If it's some bundle game with 15% positive reviews, I'd feel awkward for being thanked for it. It's like handing someone a bag of trash, and getting thanked for it.

But better games? Sure, it's nice to get thanks for those.

Merci d'avoir partagé ton avis Atalante !
