Nice script. I like how it works... but for some reason it's not entirely accurate. It gave me a green for Spellforce 2, but if you look on ITAD, you can see it was bundled once in Humbles Nordic Games Bundle 2 14 months ago. Or, is it still ok because it was a Tier 3 and you needed at least $10 to get it?

Hmm, it is possible that it uses a slightly different name than the game that is mentioned on the bundled-list. In that case it might give a false positive, because Spellforce 2 is indeed bundled. Unfortunately I can't find the game on the sales list. Could you tell me where you were looking?

It's missing now. I guess no longer on sale. :( If I see it again, I'll screenshot it for you.

Hmm, is it really? The one I find on discount is: http://store.steampowered.com/app/261340/, while the one that is banned is actually: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/33661/

Nice idea, would be great if we could have a firefox plugin in the future too.

I hope you are open to some feedback.
After trying it (with 90% option):
I got the valve complete pack to appear on top. Most games seen in first page are blue color (what does it mean?) and a few are green. The green ones seem the best bet. Any further comments on the colors? However what I see with a first glance, is that it doesn't really order them strictly by ratio (the best deals ratio-wise should be on top but aren't really, I can mention some examples) Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Feedback is always welcome.
If you go to the regular sales page, you will get the most recommended sales, which is made by steamgifts and based on other criteria than ratio. If you select the Highest Discount list on the left, it should be sorted :).
Red = most savings, yet possibly bundled (if the discount is too high)
Green = relatively high discount, relatively safe buy
Blue = less discount, yet safest option.
Always at your own risk ofcourse :)

Aha that explains it. The colors were indeed a mystery to me.
Something else I noticed in the highest discount list that you proposed: (I've only tested this logged out from a chrome browser)
If I change the % ratio for example from 90 to 80% or 70%, and search again or refresh, the value goes back to its original % value. Am I doing something wrong? It seems as if you cannot change the value in highest discount feature.
And a small suggestion if I may :
It would be nice and useful if you added checkboxes, for enabling/disabling some of the colors. For example if I only want to see the blue options or the blue+ green I should be able to ask for it. I only mention this because by default the red options are so many, that one has to scroll pages and pages, before he gets to other colors some times.

Nice tool! I downloaded it, but right now I'm not much focused on my CV. COuld come in handy, still.
Probably been posted already, but people should also use http://www.steamgifts.com/bundle-games and try to make a GA for a game to make sure it's not blocked.

I absolutely loved this idea! I'll never miss any good title for a very good price anymore! thank you.

Wow, now I do it manually myself, great idea, but I use firefox are you planning also for it?

I've totally no use for it as CV doesn't really matter to me that much. I did want to post though to say that the spirit of giving has been corrupted by both sides.
On one hand people "CV farm" and give away things cheap to get maximum CV.
On the other hand, people decry "CV farmers" because they don't care about anything but CV.
Both sides need to remember, gifting is for gifting not for anything else. If you are gifting to "farm" CV you're not really ever going to benefit, you are more than likely going to meet with other "farmers" and probably be better off trading. The people who complain about cv "farmers" they need to remember a gift is a gift. If it costs 1 pence, 1 dollar or 100 dollars, its a gift and you should be grateful. There seems to be an unofficial policing of whats deemed as an "acceptable" gift, the answer to that is simple, anything.
In short, don't give to gain in return and don't complain that people are giving away the "wrong" things. Both are ungrateful and not in the spirit of steam"gifts".

[edit] I've removed the plugin from the chrome developer dashboard, as the sales page is removed. Thanks for all your support! [/edit]
Not everyone has as much to spend as some of you guys. I feel like this forms kind of a barrier for people to start gifting. Another thing which is quite demotivational is that if you spend a couple of euro's in the hopes of boosting your CV, only to see the game added to the bundle-list.
In order to accomodate people with smaller budgets, I've made this small plug-in for Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/steamgiftsaver/hcomhdcomaehhhacachojomaoebmfcip
This will scan the Sales section, and hide all bundled-games, and color-code all remaining games for how good of a deal it is. I hope you like it, let me know!
