So, my sister is not much of a gamer, but she told me she would like to play some games, even make her own steam account

-My sister is 13

-Enjoyed games like Sims 3 and Minecraft

-Dislikes complex gameplay

-Not an FBI agent

I'd recommend stuff with fun local multiplayer. Monaco is a great game for many people and can be played both local and online. It may be a bit too hard for your sister. Something like Speedrunners could be fun if she likes Mario Kart...

If she likes Candy Crush, I'd recommend getting her something like Puzzle Quest, which is similar but more substantial. It's a bit geeky and she may not like the fantasy angle, but it's worth a look.

Broken Age is a beautiful point and click adventure... It's "not over" yet, but I think she'd enjoy the story and the fact that one of the main characters is a great girl.

G'luck with this!

If ur sister is ok with strategy, long live the queen might be good. If shes into simulations, game dev tycoon maybe?(WARNING: ther are alot of bad simulations, so read the reviews be4 buying smth simulation related. If shes the type to fancy herself some fps, call of duty do not get, try verdun, its community is actually quite nice. And also if ur buying the games, try tf2 outpost. Most games exept pre-releases and call of duty sell at a lower price there. Hope this worked for you. :)

Terraria is easy enough to get into. It's only as complex as she wants to make it, depending on how deep she gets into it. And you can play with her on the same map, guiding her through some places while she gets used to the controls.

My favourites were mostly classic point and click adventures, plus I enjoyed the occasional fps like Doom, Redneck Rampage, and Duke Nukem 3D (but I guess that's not the best idea for her..?). As some others have mentioned, tycoons like Rollercoaster or Zoo Tycoon might be up her alley since she seems to like building/creative games (I also used to enjoy those!). Platformers/puzzle platformers might be fun for her too. Here's a list of some that are on steam and are probably age-appropriate:

Action: Bastion, Dust, Guacamelee!

Adventure: A New Beginning, The Book of Unwritten Tales + Critter Chronicles, Broken Age, The Cave, Kaptain Brawe, Machinarium, Monkey Island 1 + 2 + Tales, The Night of the Rabbit, Stacking, Syberia + 2, Tiny Thief, The Whispered World

Puzzle/platformer (she might need your help with some of these): Escape Goat + 2, FEZ, Pid, Portal + 2, Spirits, Toki Tori + 2, Trine + 2

RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 or 2. Even thought it's a little complicated at first, I had so many hundred of hours of fun with the game in my early gaming age...
