Which one do you like better?
wheat is better (nutrition-value-wise) but rice is good too ... > wheat

you can make pasta out of rice :) plus this
I was living for few years happily eating potatoes/pasta and rice very rarely rotfl (most of those, I ate rice though)
But now I live in Japan, where rice is sold either 5 or 10kg a pack most commonly. But there is also ramen/udon/soba/tsukemen and others.
Soooooo, both! But I miss buckwheat grain (which I didn't like at all like 7 years ago, and then I loved it). So like spaghetti or other western style pasta can cease to exist, those other noodles have to be here!
edit: language mistakes :D

Oh yes you can, and as I said in another reply soybean noodles are my favourite! :D
However, they are extremely hard to find here :( Even Chinese / Asian shops almost exclusively sell rice noodles.

Much perfect pasta over rice, but would choose to keep rice over pasta

Flavour-wise, I would agree. I love potatoes, steamed, baked, stewed, and yummm chunky chips!
But it takes so much time and effort to prepare them :(

Definitely rice. Get away from simple carbs and see your life change.

Yeah, that works, too! But it's usually very expensive (where I live, anyway).

Would you consider this,
Personally I prefer pasta. We've been eating at the Olive garden more often lately. I love cheese in pasta :3

Surely an ultimate debate for many! I don't think there are any Olive Garden restaurants over here, but I've been to enough Britalian places. Not a fan of overcooked pasta I'm afraid :(

Didn't think you would mix tortelloni with carbonara :O The filling is so rich and fat that you typically have them in a simple sauce.
However, I've also lived in Bologna for a few years and I've been stuffed with tortellini with pretty much anything XD
Honestly, I'd rather have a nice Valencian paella!

I'm Italian, so there's no doubt about my choice ;)

I've asked people a similar question before, with the choices of rice, pasta, bread.
I'd choose bread.
Between just rice and pasta, I'd go with pasta.

I met a few people who always eat pasta with bread.
That's carb overload if you ask me, but ok ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Maybe we should ask TheLuckyShamrock, he's a food technomancer or whatever it's called :D

I like rice better, although both rice salad and pasta salad are equally tasty :)

I was expecting "Pasta or rice? Why not Zoidberg?", but that would have been too obvious :D

Suppose you had to do without one of them for the rest of your life. What would you rather live without? What could you not live without?
Personally, I have spent quite a few years in Italy and I think I have had enough pasta for the rest of my life. Plus I like rice salads better.
The only downside is that rice takes longer to cook.
And of course there are unrelated giveaways to be found here:
Pasta (OVER)
Rice (OVER)
