18 years ago in high school. Married now with 4 kids.

Online in an MMO (Vindictus) and have been together for over 4 years now. I've met up with him only once, but with me being Canadian and him being American and neither of us wanting to move, I can't see it lasting forever.

I am with a girl for 17 years.
And i meet her at work in a stage of 3 months.
She was asthonishing in a white robe one day, and i said to myself wow wow.
But she was at this time with his (future) ex, things were moving bad between them.
I went to another city for work and still asking by e mail some news.
One day she asked to come for the week end. I took the train with no hesitation. :D
And a few dance later here we are.
Many good things and few bad but we still are together.

Internet, met him years ago, I was 12 when I met him, we made our lives but not together since it wasn't possible, but no one made me feel the love the way he did (and do), so live got us together no matter what and here we are, married, after 12 years from the first time we talk :)

Does have imaginary scenarios of such a person exist? If so, in my imagination.

Met at the pub after after a long day of mustering cattle. Kicked her out after 9 years because she was cheating while I worked my knuckles to the bone. For the last 25 years I just pay whores when I want company, I have no desire for emotional relations with humans.

I met my SO in a private game grumps facebook group by chance. He had just started using facebook after he had given it up for 2 years. I was finally starting to be able to recover from a break up from ~9 months before this and gathered enough motivation to become active on facebook again. We just so happened to be really active on a lot of posts that night. We met in the comment section of a post a random person made that was asking what you'd look for in a partner. I left a comment on it and after a while, I got a notification back from a guy saying that he wanted the exact same thing. A few responses here and there, then I finally decide to make a move with introducing myself y saying "Hi, I'm single I MEAN... insert my name here" He responded back to me similarly. After a few more silly pick up lines, he adds me and we chat and get to know each other for the rest of the night and early morning. We just kinda clicked when we met and about a week later, he asked me to be his girlfriend and everything has been going well since then.

We met in high school. I was dating a girl she really hated at the time, because of some previous guy they both dated, and we got into a fight during a field trip. It was a really petty fight, so I got up and went and set with, what is now, my wife of 10 years. I know I was being childish in doing that, but it couldn't have worked out any better.

On anime convention. We've been living very close to each other (like 500m in straight line), but never actually met. then we both separately went to anime convention in other part of country. On said convention I was having a presentation followed by discussion panel about history of tentacle hentai - obviously over 90% of audience were males, but there were few girls, she among them, after panel a few people discussed various stuff from presentation, she among them, it was fun, but when discussion ended we separated and didn't meet each other for the rest of the convention. Next day I was waiting for a train to get back home and there she comes - turns out she's waiting for the same train. We discussed whole 9h-long trip, exchanged phone numbers etc, then when we left train we said goodbye and went to bus station. And another surprise - we are waiting for the same bus o.O Ok, so where do you go? Turns out we're going to the same bus station :D: There were just one too many these "accidents" :D: When we arrived it was still not so late (7PM, but next day we both had free), so I asked if she would like to grab some beer, we bought 4-pack and sat by the nearby river, drank and talked more and long story short by next week we were already dating, now we are together for over 8 years, live together, are engaged and have two lovely kitties ;p

I was walking through the forest, when I heard a beautiful melody. As I moved through the brush I soon came across an astounding beauty who was surrounded by small birds, deer, and other woodland creatures. The birds were singing with her, the deer were prancing around her, and the other woodland creatures were dancing and frolicking in a joyous manner to her tune.

Hesitantly at first, I slowly but surely strode towards her, bewitched by her charm. Upon noticing me she stopped her singing, and so too did the animals stop their joyous merrymaking. I looked at her and I said...

..."Want a beer?"
She stared back for a moment and then said, "Sure, why the fuck not."
And we all lived happily ever after.

What's a SO?

Met her at an anime "convention", she is the sister of a friend and we hang around a couple more times in a group of friends and after a while we started hanging around just us.

As a (female) student I was finally able to 'find' a job through family at a warehouse, it was supposed to be only for one month (during break ofc) and there he was:)

I met her in the chorale where we both sang. We became friends on a choral trip to Cologne (Köln) Germany. I had a gf at the time who, long story short, basically made me leave the chorale. A few years later, the gf and I are no more, I return to the chorale, and a few months later we're dating. Now married with 2 kids.

Past relationships & almost-relationships have been either through friends or through whatever I've been studying, very standard stuff, really. Never had a relationship last for several years though. My last relationship could be seen as having been through a mix of "through friends" and "party".

By happenstance. Not by shopping.

I was playing WoW with my best friend, we were in BG, and he got called out by someone who happened to be a guy he played with when WoW came out. They talked a bit and he (my friend) told him to come later with some of his friends on our TeamSpeak.
I was there, didn't know them so didin't talk much. Started to /w this guy because he made me laugh. We talked the whole night, discovered we were living next to each other. Early in the morning, I was out of cigarettes and ask him if he could lend me one. We've been together for 7 years now.
Met my SO and some of my closer friends on WoW, and 7 years later we're all riding T-rex on ARK! :)

She came to buy something from my convenience store. I was listening to "The Funeral" album from Sentenced at that time and she told me that this was nice music that I was listening. Then she left. I was so shy I couldn't even respond. After some time she appeared again. I mumbled something like what is her name and if she would like to go out with me sometime. It's now 5 years we're living together and we're getting married.

Pub should be an option.

Hoo boy, my story is a little unusual but still one of my favorites.

Fall 2015 was a bad couple of months for me and due to undiagnosed depression/anxiety, culminated in me attempting suicide by overdose. Got found out by my parents, got driven to the emergency room where I threw up everything and laid in a bed for hours wishing I was dead. That lead to me being admitted and eventually sent to the hospital's psychiatric ward. I was scared but made myself be sociable with the other patients and did activities with them, despite seeming like I was the only young person (in their 20's) there. Well, me and two other boys in the ward.

There was one day when some nursing students came by to interact with us. Me talking to this male nursing student lead up to us asking the ward staff to dig up an old guitar they had and let me print out tabs from their computer. I played a little but then offered it to the student since I was more of a singer than anything. After jamming for a song, one of the younger male patients (who was sitting at the same table as me, but drawing for one of the female nursing students) said to me, "Hey, if you ever start a band, let me know if you need a drummer."

That sparked us talking about all sorts of stuff (music, movies, video games, etc) and our students let us be, until a social worker came by and joined in on our conversation. We all talked for hours, up until around 10pm or so when the social worker had to go and we were finally alone. More talking lead to us finding out we were both on tumblr and then sharing URLs, promising each other that when we got out, we would find each other and hang out. From then we were always talking and doing the activities together...he made the ward seem less scary.

He ended up having to leave a day before I got discharged (and I couldn't even give him a proper goodbye because there was an incident with a patient who was having a seizure while he was getting his paperwork done, so they rushed him out so they could focus on the other patient). The day I got out, I found him and we started messaging each other. He was in a little trouble with his dad and was afraid he'd lose contact with me, so he sent me a message telling me that I was beautiful and the coolest person he ever met...

We finally added each other on Facebook and talked more there, finally admitting to the other that we really liked each other. I found out that he was staying with his uncle as well, who lived much closer to me than his parent's home, so we agreed to meet up and hang out the next day. It wasn't much...we drove around until we ended up at a grocery store lol, where we bought energy drinks and sat outside. I sang for him some more and when I finished, he took my chin in his hand and kissed me. :3

We're still together today, almost at a year and a half. It just blows my mind that from the lowest point of my life came the one of the best things that ever happened to me.

I meet most of the women I date at work.

Met the woman I'm currently seeing off and on at my part-time job. Was doing a security gig for the synchronized figure skating championships (she's a figure skater) -- she asked where a good place to get some lunch was, and then asked me if I'd like to come along. We hit it off and spent most of the rest of the day together. I don't talk much and she loves to. It works out surprisingly well. :3
