Tl;dr: I'll add up your votes and post a new thread with the results after this one winds down.

Here's my vote: Ghosts N' Goblins is probably the hardest game (hardest for me to win) that I still enjoy.

Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood! I had nigthmares from that game. It has the ghosts and goblins controls but it's much harder.

Do you like it better than Prinny - Can I Really Be the Hero? I'm playing through that one now, and it's great too.

Both game is equally fun. There is a few things why I like the 2nd game more like the jokes, better Asagi mode and you can play as prinny Laharl. Oh and I wish you good luck in the final boss (you'll need it).

I Wanna Be the Guy: Gaiden.
I prefer this to the original IWBTG, it feels more polished =)

Oh, and I just lost The Game, and that one might just be even harder but not as fun, I just keep losing.

These are nothing compare to a game I played many years ago. - I Wanna Be The Guy. I hope it is still freeware. You can find it on youtube. I know there are few more difficult Mario modifications but this one is playable. Prepare to die!

You forgot to add Demon´s Crest. The overall difficulty is okay, but the true last boss is a pain.

Why noone said Final fantasy 4 ( ds version ) ? That game difficulty is so fucked up it's even retarded. I NEVER EVER had the need to smash a console/gamepad/whatever to the ground like with that game. God, I don't know what programmers did when porting the game, but it's awful

-Ultramegarandom AI. battle 4 enemies with aoe attacks, all of them throw aoe attack at the same time, even before you are able to attack. You die. Also bosses use to attack 2-4 times each turn. Sometimes they think using 4 times in a row his aoe attack is a good idea

-Before a boss there's always a savepoint, the problem is before BOTH of them, there is a crossroad, then you have to choose. 50% boss, 50% savepoint. Add that everysingle dungeon have only one savepoint

-There is a dungeon were you need wood gear ( because anything made of metal makes you go petrified ), just enter the dungeon, start a fight and BAM, all your team is dead. Also, the only fucking gear made of wood is the starter gear, sold millions hours before, because that dungeon is midgame. On DS there isn't a merchant who sells wood gear ( somehow, it doesn't exist ), so you have to run it naked and throwing spells, or spits

-Magic, oh magic, it's RETARDED! Basic spells have crap power, but fast cast, midgame++ you won't survive a single fight if you wait for your Cura-Curaga, so you end spamming with one single char cure all the time

-The best char on the game, Fusoya, on the DS it's bugged, he NEVER has more than 1000hp, it's better when every single monster hits for more than that at that point of the game

-Main chars die, and make you loose EVERYTHING they've got equipped

-There is a boss, frankenstein, who does an skill called "inversion gas", heal does damage, and damage heals. The game is so slow ( only on your chars it seems ) that I kept dying because I was being gased twice or thrice before I could attack.

-After frankstein, there is a boss that the game itself tells you to do the OPPOSITE of what you have to do to beat it. Also, it instagibs one of your chars every 10 seconds. You have to pray for crits or use fuuma shurikens, of course, if the only char that could use them isn't killed first and you have found any before. First time killed myself throwing cura on my own party. Next I thought, hey, let's throw fira! inversion gasx2, dead again. I ended up killing him with only one player alive and waiting to attack him or myself to heal/deal damage. Took me 45minutes, or even more

-On the end dungeon, you can find Behemoths, pretty nice enemies that doesn't let you run from battle, but they are way funnier when you attack them with physical attacks, they counterattack with vortex ( 1hp all your party ) then in 0.1 seconds you get instagibbed by aoe attacks :D

-There is another boss that his first phase you are entitled to be defeated always, so another long forgotten companion comes to your rescue. Sad thing is it is SO weak that the next turn gets killed and does almost no damage

I researched on that day, and I found that the DS version was a bugfest, and all enemies had turbo speed no matter what you selected on battle options, making it ridiculously hard.

If you ever thought Skyrim had bugs, please try FF4 DS version, it's the worse thing I've ever played. I almost beat it, played almost 60hours, and in the final dungeon, after 3 FUCKING hours exploring, I was in front of the FUCKING savepoint, and 2 milimeters away I face my first behemoth. You can guess the outcome, my face was priceless. The battle lasted 10 seconds, I attack, he uses vortex, then instantly uses flamethrower. Game over

Playing dark souls naked and with a broken sword is a walk in the park compared to this. I never had so much frustration in my life, and sincerely, I doubt I will

  1. Please read the topic (or at least the title of the topic.) Your post has nothing to do with the topic (unless you love FF4 DS version.) Please delete your unrelated (spam) post. This topic is about games you love. You're supposed to vote for a game that you love.

  2. Also, "noone" isn't the name of an actual person or even a word.

  3. I don't find that playing games naked makes a difference for me, unless someone else is in the room.

I actually liked the story, and the non-ds version is actually a very good game I like. I think it was obvious that playing dark souls naked meant without armor, not yourself in real life ¬¬

Fresh (read: not played the game recently) full campaign golds on Wipeout XL.

Storytime: I rented this game back near release, and was chilling at home with a couple 40's and the lights off, blasting the AMAZING BEST EVER SOUNDTRACK as high as I could at midnight. My fingers were sore and hurting bad, which happens on marathon sessions. I felt the controller was damp, figuring it's my usual sweaty palm syndrome. After I FINALLY beat the Phantom car and 100% unlocked everything, I switched on my light to notice it wasn't sweat on my controller. It was blood. I'd worn both my thumbs to some pretty nasty bleeding on that damn game. And still, I <3 it. Vladisvostok course FTFW.

Nice story. That sounds like proof!

Also, a note: I think you meant "stale" instead of "fresh." Fresh means recent. Stale means a long time ago.

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions with the Insane Difficulty 1.3.1.0 patch. oO HOLY SHIT is that game hard! (><)

But if I had to pick a straight out of the box, unmodded game I'd definitely have to pick Battle Toads for the NES. I got that game on release and I still haven't beaten it... (>_<)
