True, but that's the idea. Tetris has been mentioned, which I really can't think of anything that would have influenced that game. What about Snake or Pitfall?

Game play and puzzles seem rather original, but it would be more original if Matryoshka dolls never existed.

Basically, the question becomes... Can you think of any truly original games? Games that would not be able to give any credit of there existence to anything other than original thought.
