I don't watch TV, go very very rarely to the movies (last time was a year ago I think), so I wouldn't know. For now, here's a bump.

I've really enjoyed Marvel's recent string of movies, but I thought GotG looked like it was going to be bad. I went and saw it opening weekend, because I had the time and they had the AC, and was blown away. Really solid movie. Not at all a superhero movie, like the rest of the Marvel movies. Its really just a great sci-fi movie, with lots of humor thrown in. Think Farscape meets Star Wars.

I've only seen one movie in 3D, and while it wasn't a bad experience, it didn't offer enough to put up with the glasses or the extra charge.
Of the two, if you must see one in the theater (3D or otherwise), I think GotG is the better bet. A movie like that is just made for the big screen. The Dragon movies are supposedly good, but I think you can get the same viewing pleasure from watching them at home.

Do yourself a favor and watch Guardians of the Galaxy.

3D is a cheap gimmick which has been hated in the 100 years it has been appearing in cinema. I really do not understand why they keep bringing it back?

I didn't see either of them in 3D, but Guardians of the Galaxy wins. HTTYD2 is still really good, though.

Guardians was good. 3D was totally regular, nothing bad, nothing excellent. Do yourself a favor though, and see Snowpiercer if you can. Best sci-fi movie I've seen in a long time, no scratch that, best movie I've seen in a long time. On my list of all time favorites for sure.

Seriously? OK, not gonna argue that Snowpiercer is indeed a good movie, because it most certainly is. But best sci-fi movie you've seen in a long time? Come one. You can't call yourself a fan of sci-fi fan and not like Oblivion, Star Trek Into Darkness and ESPECIALLY ELysium. Add to those 3 The Hunger Games Catching Fire, Gravity and Pacific Rim and you know that indeed 2013 was THE YEAR for sci-fi movies.

Really? I haven't seen Elysium, so I can't compare it to anything, but Oblivion was horrid. No content, a lot of weird, conspiracy shit, and lacking in theme. Star Trek Into Darkness was a failed attempt at reviving the classic space opera, fucked up everything Star Trek used to be about, and wasn't interesting. Snowpiercer was funny, brutal, thematically excellent, incredibly well-acted, and had me guessing the whole time. Top sci-fi movies I've seen are Inception, Snowpiercer, Blade Runner, Brazil, and District 9, in no particular order. Now, if you come at a lot of these movies expecting a space opera, Battlestar Galactica-style, you aren't going to be very happy. But there's a hell of a lot more to sci-fi than space operas. They're certainly fun, but can't ever be great because of the classic tropes that they employ.

Ive only seen Guardians of the galaxy and i enjoyed it a lot, i wanted to see it in 2D but near my house its only in 3D, it was a decent 3D, not that annoying not that beautiful...
I want to see How to train your dragon 2 but in my country isnt in the original language and its kinda annoying to see a movie translated... :(

If I were you, I'd see both movies in 2D and save my money.

Guardians of the Galaxy. Hands on. And the 3D..HOLY SHIT, best one I've ever seen, NO KIDDING. It's so good that even though, in the theater I went, they gave me a pair of shitty glasses with non-erasable spots(probably scratches), I could still distinguish everything as if there with me in the room. It's just phenomenal(Si ma poti crede pe cuvant ca suntem compatrioti).

Guardians of the Galaxy is a much better movie. How To Train Your Dragon 2 is gay propaganda. What's the point of having gay characters in a kids movie? Are they trying to make kids gay? Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with being gay, to each his own but it's the first time I've seen sexual propaganda in animation movies and it's gay...

Haha. This is funny. You're actually suggesting that the movie makers wanted to make kids gay? No. They were portraying a character as gay so kids could understand that a lot of people are gay, but that doesn't make them any different than anyone else, except in terms of who they like to have sex with.

I have 2 questions about this:
1.Which of these two movies to you think it's better?
2.In which of these two movies the 3D is better?
Edit:Thank you all for replying! I'm not really surprised to see that 95% of you voted for Guardians. That's what is gonna be.Thank you!
