Welcome to my first train. I loved FMV games back in the day and i want to share the love of this low budget interactive movies that tommy wissau wish had directed.

Train Lvl4+ only sorry :(

The first one i ever played was Grabriel Knight 2: The beast Within and the last one i played was Contradiction - the all-video murder mystery adventure. I recommend both you can find GK2 in gog and Contradictionin steam :)

Whats your favorite or the first FMV game you ever played?

i believe i've missed the era of fmv games. "her story" sounds interesting and after reading this thread i'll have to look out "gabriel knight 2".

BUMP... can't be sure if Gabriel Knight II was my first, but it was certainly the most memorable.

Plumbers Don't Wear Ties

It wasn't even that mature, just endlessly cringe worthy.

Bump and thanks! Don't think I've really played a FMV game, think there was some FMV in an old Msyt game I played but being young and impatient I didn't last that long playing it lol.

Night Trap. The only good thing to come out of that game was the theme song.

Schizm and Reah, if they count. I can't remember if I ever played any other.

Oh, someone else who has played Schizm! I was beginning to think I was alone. That game was really good (and really hard)

Both games are very obscure outside their country of origin. And yeah, they are indeed incredibly hard. I had finished neither of them until last year.

Them naming it "Mysterious Journey" in some parts of the world probably did not help much either, that's about as generic of a name as you can get, and it really does not fit the game.

I loved the first game, though it did take me nearly 2 months to beat it, but the second one did not resonate with me for some reason.

The subtitle in the original version translates into "True Challenge", which is much more fitting. :p

I never got around to playing Schizm 2. Probably hasn't aged very well, so dunno if I should try it someday.

I tried to play Schizm 2 a few months after the first one, and I found the puzzles to be a lot less well designed. And for a game where solving puzzles is all you do, that's a big issue.

It was either The Pandora Directive (Tex Murphy 4), or Phantasmagoria. Don't remember which one I played first, as I played them at roughly the same time, but I remember enjoying both. Going back to them, I found The Pandora Directive to be a lot more fun to play, though Phantasmagoria still had that "bad horror movie" charm to it.

It's probably a tie between Sewer Shark and Tomcat Alley
Dragon's Lair on the Arcades. Time Traveler was also pretty awesome

Apparently Red Alert is considered FMV, so I guess the original Red Alert, 1996

Bump and thanks

I haven't played any FMV game yet and I still consider buying this bundle

But i don't know if it's really worth it because only games from the second tier seem interesting.
Is it?
