Which one? 1930, 1979, or 2022?
I watched the 2022 when it became available for streaming. Tragic.

You might find this interesting to watch. Interesting comparison between the 1930 and 2022 versions.

Every adaptation has it's own good things about it but as a German I'm glad we finally got this very German story told by German filmmakers. Welcome to my WL.

Well, as you can see in the Official last movie you saw thread, it was Forbidden Planet (1956).

I haven't watched any of the American Pie movies. How was it? Welcome to my WL.

Sin City (2005) is a good one, though. Have you seen Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014)? It's not as good as the first one, but definitely still enjoyable. Welcome to my WL.

Killing Them Softly, not really a top notch movie but a very good cast

Seen that one at the cinema and it was kinda underwhelming, I expected it to be much more extreme iirc. Welcome to my WL.

Still on my list. Gotta be in the mood for something depressing, though. Welcome to my WL.

Talk To Me
Was needing some good horror with october season coming up.

TY!
Better than I thought it'd be from the trailers which seemed a semi familiar formula.
Good acting and well filmed. The plot derails a bit by the mid point and kinda bad pacing after a while.
Overall a good watch.

Predator is so good! Haven't seen Gran Turismo yet but whenever I'll be in the mood for some light entertainment I'll check it out, too. Welcome to my WL.

A Taxi Driver (2017).
A quite moving political-historical film.

Don't know that one, but I see that it's based on a Kohlhaase short story, so I'll have to check it out. Welcome to my WL.

Tetris (2023)
And it has become one of my favorite movies ever.

Uncharted
Not very deep, but a pleasant action/adventure movie.
Reminds me of Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider.

Haven't played any of the games yet so I feel like for me it'll be just another average action adventure movie. Welcome to my WL.

I didn't play it either, and yes, it was an average action/adventure movie, but I had a lot of fun watching it.
Thank you for WL :)

Cargo (2009)
It's a german/swiss sci-fi movie about a transport space flight gone wrong.. We are kind of out on options from the sci-fi genre at this point here...watched nearly everything...so we are switching to other languages and subtitles=)
Edit: Just saw you are from Germany (the profile name should've been a hint:P, but I have the attention span of a child lately:D), so you probably know it.

I haven't actually seen that one. I've seen Cargo (2017), but that's a totally different movie. I'll put that Swiss one on my list, though. Welcome to my WL.

Which one? 1989 or 2004? Or Punisher: War Zone from 2008? Welcome to my WL.

The Outfit.
Amazing film really. Set across a single night and almost entirely in a tailor shop which is also frequented by one of the local gangster groups as a meeting/business spot, as things slowly spiral out of control. Throw in some great acting and a few marvelous twists and this easily becomes a must watch.
Admittedly, I might be biased since I love films like these, probably my second favorite genre of film, if you could call it that, after films with time looping conceit but I don't think that makes it wrong.

Haven't seen it yet but it sounds like something right up my alley, with the whole single-location thing. Definitely gonna watch that some time. Welcome to my WL.

Thank you for your generosity! I love talking about movies, hopefully I'm not going overboard.
I just finished watching The Little Mermaid remake and it was decent, but I don't have an extraordinary love for the original so my expectations weren't lofty.
The last movie I saw at the movie theatre was Blue Beetle, which was flawed but fun.
The last movie that I saw that I loved was Petite Maman, it's a deeply emotional film about familial relationships. But it's in French, so your mileage may vary.
And I'm really looking forward to seeing The Creator when it comes out later this week!

Have you seen the official movies thread on here? I love talking about movies, too. You could never go overboard with me. :D
Haven't seen the new Little Mermaid yet but I do like the original (or at least I did when I last watched it, probably around 20 years ago now). I've heard some good things about Blue Beetle. People say it's nothing revolutionary but it's very entertaining. Do you share that sentiment? Petite Maman is on my list. I loved Céline Sciamma's Portrait of a Lady on Fire so I definitely gotta watch Petite Maman as well. And I'll try and watch The Creator on the big screen as soon as I can, very excited for it. So, welcome to my WL and if you wanna talk movies, I'm your guy.

I have seen that thread, in the past I've found threads like that can be too busy to really have a conversation. But I've never posted to the one on SG, so maybe I"ll give it a go when I see The Creator.
Blue Beetle was definitely enjoyable, it has a fun supporting cast which isn't always the case with super hero movies but is often the case for the best ones. I also have a friend who loved it for the representation. You could also argue that it's kind of revolutionary that DC put out a movie that wasn't bad. My issue with it came from a weird thematic dissonance it has with the main character having strict with no killing morals, but then some of his supporting cast are just killing people which undercuts the main characters morality. Nothing that ruins the movie, but something that holds it back from being better than good, at least for me.

I'm actually gonna watch that one soon. Did you like it? Welcome to my WL.

Crazy to imagine that Westworld is a 50 year old movie now. And I only watched The Revenant recently but it's great. Welcome to my WL.

Not a big fan of modern action comedies, so I may watch it some time, but I'm not immediately putting it on my watchlist. What did you think about it? Welcome to my WL.

I've heard that it's quite good, but because I've only seen Predator (1987) and none of the other movies in the franchise I haven't seen it yet. Gonna do a marathon of the other sequels before I'll watch this one. Welcome to my WL.

What a story that was! And what a cast! I still think it's a great movie. Sure, it's not perfect but it's better than people say it is. Welcome to my WL.
