This site has been deeply generous over the years toward excusing extreme statements of bigotry and related harassments, to sometimes troublesome degrees. Most notably, 2 years ago, staff wasn't even moderating them at all, which caused enough forum outcry that staff made changes to that arrangement. Of course, that shift in staff applying increased moderation, combined with the more recent expansion of site staff, does indicate the basis for the OP's "5 years, never got a punishment [but] suddenly" circumstance- that being the complaint which appears to be the sole basis for the rest of their post. In other words, you can sum up their entire post as "Crap, now I have to be held to the tiniest degree of accountability? I HATE YOU *ALL*."
Moreso, do note that kapy is one of our many hardcore, extremist bigots, so he's gotten responses over the years which acknowledged that fact. Clearly, that was the community "oppressing" him, with the backing of the Illumin- I mean, with the backing of SG staff. Note that, in addition to the usual openly stated hatred toward various minorities that you'd expect from such an individual, kapy is also known for having openly stated that Hitler was to be admired and that killing off the jews made for a "more pure and clean" Germany (and was done out of Hitler's love for Germany). Note, in each instance he was given the chance to further explain himself, but instead he attacked other posters, accusing them of various discriminations, prejudices, and oppressions against him, indicating that the users are only were attacking him out of spite because of jealousy, and just a whole lot of other crazy things with no relevance to the topics at hand.

Most notable, perhaps, however, is that this is one of the users who was openly supported by the one staff member who is well-known for their regular support of bigotry, and their own sentiments to that effect. If you were to actually read the article adam linked in the post you replied to, you would find a section on post-attack casualties. There you would find that extensive research failed to find a significant increase in birth defects, and found less than 4000 fatal cases of cancer (less than 2000 in a study of half the survivors, extrapolated by me) by the year 2000.
As for Chernobyl, Wikipedia can help you there as well. Serious research points to a figure of about 4000 total casualties. But let's give you a chance and take the numbers from an anti-nuclear group, 27,000. Hell, we can even go overboard and take Greenpeace's fantasyland figure of 200,000. Now, considering the overwhelming majority of the radiation affected the immediate area, and we got minimal exposure, how many of those deaths do you think are from Bulgaria?

The problem is that one side- despite receiving open, decidedly non-impartial support from staff over the years- manages to be so filled with hate that its members violate basic social respectability with every chance they get to express their hate, until it escalates to the point where even those who support their underlying sentiments have to call them out for their behavior.
When your entire belief structure is based on being anti-social, it becomes understandably difficult to recognize that support for basic decencies isn't an attack against you and your beliefs (in fact, unfortunately, those underlying, hate-driven beliefs are rarely attacked at all). After all, you're only applying the same behaviors across everything you do, and forming political viewpoints around being able to freely express those behaviors. How could something that in any way restricts the foundation of your beliefs- that is, intolerance and hate- not be discriminating against you?

I just meant, by the mindset of the individuals involved, it's actually strangely understandable that they'd think that any sort of moderation (which affects them) is an attack against them. Free reign to be as nasty as you want, and a lack of consequences for one's actions, seem to be some of the elements which define that particular ideology. When those elements are infringed, it's just easier to assume a conspiracy against oneself by "the enemy" than to completely undermine one's entire ideology by accepting taking responsibility for one's actions and acknowledging the merits of respectful interaction.

I cannot understand the plural. So far we know of one event, in Dallas last year, which was a racial murder of white police officers. I cannot even find more on Breitbart, and that site pretty much invents its articles daily (and likes to remind everyone of that one event also daily). Unless I'm mistaken, the suspect was a white / hispanic man and apparently the dispute was because the police wouldn't arrest his wife over a domestic issue. This does not point to "targeting and murdering cops". Shouting that slogan might be shitty, but that doesn't remotely equate to the group ordering hits on police. If you have reputable sources (key word there being reputable) that AntiFa or BLM are organising and claiming responsibility for such things, kindly provide them.
Don't forget the events that led to BLM being founded. Of course they don't have much love for the police, but that's a far cry from what you're insinuating. I think shouting insensitive slogans is a total steal compared to teargassing nonviolent protesters in the follow-up from a number of police fatalities that led almost unanimously to zero consequences for the LEOs involved. And again to contrast, white supremacists were able to go toe to toe with a riot line and physically push against them without facing similar measures; meanwhile we have people happily cackling about "pepperballs", where a left-leaning protester is deliberately shot in the genitals with a pepperball because they kicked a teargas canister back, followed by comment sections full of people saying "haha they should have used real bullets to shut them up".
The sense of scope here is all kinds of lopsided.

The second had zero mention of it being related to BLM or Antifa, and was even concluded to be unrelated (stronger lead towards drug issues). The first, the Dallas shooting, neither BLM or Antifa claimed responsibility, and in fact BLM condemned the killings. ("#BlackLivesMatter advocates dignity, justice and freedom. Not murder. — Black Lives Matter (@Blklivesmatter) July 8, 2016"). Even if there is an increase in cop killings, that does not automatically attribute them specifically to an anti-racism or a police accountability group, you have made those assertions and not yet offered solid links between the two. If you look at bare statistics you could correlate an increase in yeast infections with an increase in public nationalist protests. Stats need to be properly handled, or their interpretations will be spurious. It would be more accurate to correlate attacks on police with reported (recorded) incidents where police needlessly escalated force. I hope for your sake that you aren't deliberately misportraying discontent at police accountability with "BLM murders cops", because that would make you dishonest insomuch as your lack of rationale or provided info goes.

I don't know why you find that hard to believe. That's almost always the case, a user gets a few reports for something, then if they don't bring any attention to themselves for a while they don't get reported. Next time they do something questionable, they get a few more reports again. So reports of a user always tend to be grouped, with considerable periods of time between the groups.

First off let's get our bearings straight. We all come from different countries with different cultural backgrounds. For someone to be calling Hillary and the Democrats "Left Wing" is kinda funny, especially when compared to other countries that were inside

Reading through the OP while actually knowing the fact leads me to the following conclusion: either you are unable to perceive things the way they are, or you are unwilling to accept them that way. For the benefit of others who may be reading this, I will clarify a few things.
- The current Support Staff does not favor any particular point of view expressed in the forum. Regardless of our individual viewpoints, we share a common policy of non-interference unless and until such interference is warranted.
- We do not care what color or name people give to their own brand of rubbish, it all stinks the same to us. People can be as foolish and/or ignorant as they wish without consequence, but if someone crosses a line, we will call them on it.
- In the event Support does hammer a user for something (usually minor), going berserk and attacking the Staff will not improve one's situation. Quite the reverse. Taking responsibility for one's actions is the best way forward, both on SG and in Life.
