You may get an email from the gifter with the code or a message in steam. When you log into the SG site you'll see a green banner that you won.

Why not just authorize your machine so you can bypass the steam-guard process?

Google > "steamgifts win" > images. Thank me later.

The universe will implode. You can't miss it.

You will know when you win. You don't have to do that.

A lovely green bar will appear on steamgifts website telling you that you won something, you wait until the person sends you the gift. Now, there are two posibilities:

1. They send you a key for the game that you need to redeem on Steam
   or
2. They send you a steam gift and you have to accept it

After you got the game, come back on steamgifts and confirm the gift. Then enjoy your game and believe me, it is nice when you win something.
