I like borderlands TPS more than 2.

I dont think skyrim is that great.

I like CoD and play BO3 regularly and have preordered IW.

I think Bioshock infinite is overrated.

I believe The only good Deus Ex game so far is human revolution.

I think MW2 isnt that great either

I think Every battlefield after 2142 is trash

Alrriiiigghhhtt before i get blacklisted by the entire universe wanna GA?

Misunderstood the question. I think most of the games everyone goes nuts for are pure shit. And I enjoy absolutely horrible (by the community standards) games the most.

GTA series, Halo series, Mass Effect after the first one, Borderlands etc for games everyone loved that I thought sucked.

Games I like that are generally hated, clicker games, diner dash type games, micromanagement sims, etc. oh and tower defense games, no matter how shitty.

On the topic of tower defense games, have you tried out Kingdom Rush? (one of the best ones in my opinion) It's on steam but you can also play it for free on a browser as a flash game.

I love Hidden Object Games. They are the only type of games that I play through to completion.
even worse...
I enjoy buying games more than actually playing them.
worst...
I spend more time watching youtube videos, reading reviews, and researching games that I'm interested in than I ever actually spend playing those games once I've purchased them.

I would like hidden object games if they'd actually try and have more, and better puzzles in it (and would drop the girly fairytale setting where nothing can die and all evil is either elemental evil, or misled poor humans) (I still have like two dozen of them completed xD )

The Sonic games were never all that good, even back in the Mega Drive days. While they all had a great first level, and some had some other good levels, they also all had some really annoying levels making the games just alright in the grand scheme of things. That is, if you don't include the Master System version, which was genuinely good, but which most people seem to have forgotten.

Warcraft 3 is not the best Warcraft title. That honour goes to WC2. (WC 1 is not a good game these days, but that is not an unpopular opinion).

Thief 2 is not the best thief game. In fact, Thief 3 is better than Thief 2. Thief 1 is the best in the series. The reason for this are the levels towards the end of Thief 2, which are pants.

Final fantasy VII was not a stellar game. Nostalgia goggles are a funny thing, are they not?

Neither Origin nor Uplay are worse than Steam.

Lucas Arts were not the masters of adventure games and their best title was The Dig.

Black & White as kinda not so very good. The animal was was the fun part, so why does the game keep taking it away from me!?

Deus Ex HR >> Deus Ex

Half-Life 2 is not a great game. It's poorly paced, feels incredibly linear (most shooters are incredibly linear, but HL2 feels more linear than most of the modern ones), and the level design is not very good either. I would rather play CoD:Ghost than HL2.

not gaming related: The new Ghostbusters movie seems a lot better than the old Jim Carrey comedies. And I really mean a lot better. Still links pants, but at least it's not a 90's Jim Carrey movie.

What's your take on the whole HL franchise, with the expansions?
For me HL2 finally gave at least secrets to the game, as the first one was almost an empty corridor to play in, and the additional physics added some fun. I can't really recall EP1 (haven't played EP2) but I loved HL2 way, way more than the first one that feels really lacking in gameplay and setting (Gordon, MIT PhD, master of all weapons) - for example I loved Opposing Force WAY better than HL1.
(I played The Dig with a guide as I wanted the story, and visually, and especially music-wise it still holds it's ground incredibly well, even in 2016)

I've never really tried to replay HL1. When it was released, it was impressive. It did more direct storytelling through the environment and things happening in it before your very eyes than even System Shock 2, but I would have to play it again to say what I think of it these days. I did try Blue shift for the first time about a year and a half ago, and it failed to hold my interest, but that was always considered to be the worst part of the series, was it not? Opposing forces is an expansion I don't remember much about. I played it shortly after launch, liked it, but I'm having a hard time telling what memories are from it and what memories are from the original game. They kinda blend together.
Got to an elevator in HL2 EP1, and the game turned out to be bugged and refused to let me get any further. Quick search on the internet alter told me that it's a known bug, and you need to start from the beginning if it happens to you. Never played HL2 EP2

I agree on Blue Shift being weak, like a demo. Half the weapons, barely any enemies :\
Opposing Forces gave new stuff to HL1 - the barnacle-grappling hook, few weapons, new alien race, more story, squad command, and expanded the physics-based puzzles a little more as well. I'm sure in it's time a lot of these things were new, so even a little meant a lot, but today's standards it had enough of the stuff that HL1 scratched. (Played all three of them this year, for the first time [steam's version with the HD textures])

I am part owner/operator/administrator of one of the oldest DoD:S servers in the world. 10 years old this year!

Battlefield 2142 was great but I am also partial to Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

I have mobility issues so I play Pokemon Go on my PC with an emulator and location hack. It's gonna suck for me when they update it to allow you to challenge and trade with your friends. I probably won't be playing it much longer as it's getting a bit boring and there's too much grinding to get your Pokemon up to a worthy strength.

I hate anime games that revolve around nothing else except wooing big eye, big breasted cartoon character women with voices that sound like little kids. Porn is free, is much better, and frees up both hands to do other things. Take that as you may.

I'm not too fond of most hidden object games because after you play them a few times the objects aren't so hidden anymore. Their replay value isn't worth the purchase price IMO.

I purchased Fallout 4 and returned it shortly thereafter. I wasn't impressed and didn't understand all of the hype. It's the only game on Steam that I have ever asked for a refund for.

I have worked in different levels of development on four different videogames that never made it to market except for Dead Island: Epidemic which was FTP on Steam until Deep Silver decided that they didn't want to work on it anymore and pulled it. I think I'm done wasting my time with other people's work and will work on my own game that has so far been nearly a 5 year long project.

Bad Rats sucks. SG needs a new token game (and NOT Bad Rats 2).

I helped set up some of the first Halo servers for Bungie.

While I have issues with the company itself I actually like the Origin client and have had much faster and more successful experiences with their technical support staff than I have with Valve's.

Skyrim is overrated.

(not game related) I still run an OpenNap server though these days I'm lucky if there's 100 people on it.

Half life 2 is boring - it has driving, shooting, gravity gun but it's not well mixed. There are long stages of walking, then long stages of shooting, then long stages of driving and so on...
I hate to look for better weapons in borderlands... this game should be called grindinglands xD
Stanley parable is piece of shit.
Hack and slash games shouldn't have pvp mode - it's just about better items not skills.

I think that Baldur's Gate and Fallout 1 & 2 are overrated. Planescape Torment was vastly better.

Dark Souls narrative isn't that great. It's main draft comes from being sketchy and it doesn't work for me at all.

I think that Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers is Sierra's best adventure game.

I don't like Mass Effect.

Fallout 1 & 2 are overrated

Prepares a knife

Planescape Torment was vastly better.

Adam1224 hurt himself in his confusion

Hard to classify these games, because I don't know about their release times, but they are like PS1-PS2 different. Fallout 1 and 2 are really nice, but ugly compared to Planescape T. or even Arcanum. Fallout has better sense of open(ish) world than Planescape, but the P.T. has way better ways of storytelling (I think FO2 had a better world as a game, but FO1's story + Master is the ultimate Fallout enemy for me)
I kiiinda agree on the overrated thing - Fo3, FoNV, Fo4 - Fallout lives, so people can come up and remember the old ones and praise them. The games deserve it. But P.T. indeed would require at least that amounts of praise - I haven't finished it because lost my piratedcopy but bought it on GOG, so maybe, sometimes... Even though I consider myself as a Fallout-enthusiastic, Planescape sent some serious shivers down my spine - I would even say it that it's better than the Fallouts. It could use way more cinematography tool, cutscenes, beautiful portraits , but the writing and the atmosphere is really eerie, and threatening at the same time.

i use to pirate games (ouch that hurts to type)

i'm not even good at most video games

my graphics cards suck

im not making a new pc until i make about a thousand dollars

i think that steam has a bad layout

the gaben memes are dumb and over played

i don't care about half life three or the jokes of it not being released

people who think memes are dank and yell about it in tf2 makes me physically ill

i think half of the things i said isnt even a secret but i needed to get it out :^(

I think most 3D Sonic games are good (the only one I thought was truly bad is 06)
I think Twilight Princess is one of the best Zelda games, and so is Skyward Sword
I don't think the Wii U is a failure, and would love to buy one if I had the money
I like linear games more than open world sandboxes
FFXIII is a good game IMO

Financially it is, sadly, but yes, currently it is the only non-handheld console that is worth its price.

FFXIII is a good game IMO

Contrary to some generic belief, it is the opinion of the majority. FFXIII is considered a good to great game on most any polls and sites. It just has a very loud minority that continues to hate on it and they always push themselves forward on all discussions about FFXIII.

Sometimes whem I'm concentrate playing a game I have my mouth opened. I only realize it when I snore after holding my breath, which usually accour during heavy action scene, suspence, or when I'm just too focused playing

My most played game is Monster Hunter for Ps2, counting exactly 2222 hours of playtime (still have the save file in the memory card). if I add the hours spent on all the 3 psp chapters I think I' am well over 4000 (now that I think about it no idea how I manage to have a gf in that period)

When I was little I was in love with Rinoa Heartilly of Final Fantasy VIII. Used to have a savefile just before the cutscene were she dance with Squall. Each morning before going to school I always turned on the Psx just to watch that cutscene a couple of time, and I was going to school with a big smile printed on my face (and Rinoa is still the most beautiful female character ever appeared on a FF game).

Destroyed a Psx pad by smashing it to the ground and then repeatedly stomping it. Rage mode was triggere playing Gekido, during the level with Travis (???) were you got to escape from the water (???? I don't even remember)

Now, Skyrim. First thing first... I was a pirate, I have admit it. I had just plugged my very first gaming machine, all by myself. I had waited so much for the legendary edition, I was hyped af, and wasn't into steam at those times (some reminiscences of being a sony fanboy). I fkn downloaded it, put more than 200 mod in it, and played it for like 850 hours. And then, during a rainy and foggy morning, I decided to uninstal Chesko' Frostfall (fuck me). Game keeps ctd ing. Save corrupted. No backup. All was lost and gone. Karma is a bitch (now here comes the best/worst part) I buyed Skyrim regularly some mouths ago. Putted in the same old mod I had and even someone new (more than 300, even had to merge some of the .esp because of the 250 limit). After learning to use Mod Organizer, mod testing and compatibility problem solving, enb optimizin, and character creation (and this one only takes about 3-4 hours).... I realize I just can't go past the introduction scene without thinking about the mighty sir Daevid Von Dragulia (old char) and his 800 hours of life... his silver katana, his black badass armor, his powerful thu'um, his love story with Lydia, she also took his virginity... That poor, humble, ultra nazionalistic, simple man who saved Skyrim from evil Alduin. I just can't... it feels too sad (maybe one day, maybe...)

On a side note, just a suggestion for those that might be into modding Skyrim, or tryin or thinking to give it a try and have just started diving in that hell that Skyrim modding is.

Never,
NEVER,
N E V E R, unistall a mod.
Never. Once you have it you gotta keep it. If you fuck things up like I did even the Script Scalpel or the Script Cleaner won't help. Just keep everything, even the mod that are teorically save to uninstall. Trust me.

all anime+indie+cartoonish games should be banned from steam.

Games like Minecraft, WoW, LoL, Dota, and other similar games are the problem with today's generation. In the older days, we used to play games with storyline, difficult games, games that would make us love and hate the protagonists, games that would make us happy to finally finish them, games without toxic communities, etc. What's with today's games, similar games with the ones that I referred to. Kids with a behavior problem that can't handle defeat and games with zero progress at all and repetitivity. That's all I had to say. Please hate me. :B

I regret even thinking of buying GTA V yet alone actually buying it..
I won't touch anything that even smells of minecraft.
I've only played 2 Final fantasy games and i'm 99% sure i won't touch another one ever again.
I had more fun in the Uplink demo and the opposing force expansion to Half Life than the actual game.
I don't get the borderlands hype.. They look really boring TBH.
I can't stand any MOBA game that reminds me of LOL. Even certain games that looked really interessting before trying them.
Besides the one on NES and Ocarine of time.. Kinda? I don't give a fuck about any Zelda game.
I kinda like the 2014 Tomb Raider but i don't think i ever played a game so easy even on the hardest difficulty...
Resident Evil 6 was bad in the action QTE and cut scene part but besides that it had a lot more to offer compared to 4-5.
I don't get why people still prefer CS 1.6 over source or GO.. And i played CS the most around 1.4-1.6.
Outlast is NOT scary. Some cheap jump scares and a shit load of Gore does not make a great horror game. Fatal frame is much!
I actually love Fallout tactics.
KKND was better than Command & Conquer even if i loved that serie.

Might have forgotten some things.
