The Walking Dead, season 2. Just thinking about the idiot characters gives me a headache. I loved most of the characters from Season 1 (sorry Larry, no love for you), so I was expecting the second season to have likable characters. The only two characters I liked were Alvin and Sarah. The rest I tried to make miserable at any given moment. As well as the game dragged on forever until the last episode, which surprisingly enough was fantastic. Still, I don't think I could put myself through a second time in Season 2. I was planning to have a project where I would do everything opposite of my normal choices, but I am not sure I could go through Season 2 without making the characters miserable. Or fall asleep of boredom. Whichever comes first.

Oh man, Magicka and Hotline Miami. Magicka was just not my game so I probably should have waited before getting any DLC XD and Hotline Miami was just meh. The stealth tactics didn't work as I wanted them to. Also the occasional guy shooting you through a wall before he even saw you.

dungeons of dredmore, Diablo 3 although ok I wish I would have got something else. Borderlands 2 the first was really good the second never lived up to it and seemed like a chore. Crusader kings 2 although good game not my type wish I would have given it to someone who would play it more and appreciate it.

I guess for me as an artist I found it to be quite a nice experience. I'll play it again for awhile some other time. It's an inspirational work for me, but I can see how others may not be into it at all. At least do yourself a favor and take some screenshots so you can have some pretty wallpapers for your desktop. Lol

Payday 2... That was the only game I ever pre-ordered. And probably the last game I ever pre-ordered. The promises in beta were great, promising 30 heists. The game came out and they had 7 heists. Even now with DLC and free maps they don't have 30 heists. Not to mention the networking problems that took over a year to fix, when they re-wrote their network code from scratch.

Far Cry 3. I preordered it and was greatly disappointed. I loved the second (except for those goddamned checkpoints), but the third was a little too easy and kinda bored me.

pretty much everything I regret buying, I will likely never get to them..
now for handheld, I kinda regret buying kirby as I know I won't get the value out of it like the other games.. and I bought it digitally so I can't resell it(lazy me)

Gone Home
I'm mostly mad at myself how i got sucked into that agenda pushing hype from various gaming portals where they praised the game like it was a second coming of Jesus without providing any explanation of why is that. It was mostly "just trust us on this one, guys". So i did.
Funny thing is that i actually completed Spec Ops: The Line just before that and i was under the impression that this game too will have one breaking point in game which completely turns the story and your perspective around. Of course that didn't happen, but how could i even know when you have plethora of reviews being so vague with "oh this is the best game in last 10 years or so, we can't tell you why is that but go ahead and buy it anyway"
I should have made some giveaways here rather than spending $20 on that shallowness

$20 on Gone Home? Ouch! I payed €2.50 which is very cheap, worth the 3 hours I played to completion!

I've only downloaded Gone Home - it was just much more expensive than I'd like to pay for it. Besides the house looking really good, the narrating voices are one of the best I've ever heard - it just got boring. Even before finishing it. It's kinda more than a game in terms of it has great immersion if you care to pay attention, and makes you think - quite rare amongst games - on the other hand it's much less than a game, because it doesn't have replayability, not real gameplay. For a few bucks instead of the 20 (!) it would be a good price for it - like going for a movie.

I bought Nuclear Dawn from my first steam sale I got back into pc gaming through steam (and somehow managed to remember my teenager years account pw). Wasn't worth the $5.
Starbound is okay but I do regret preordering it, should have done what I normally done and wait for reviews and a significant sale. And an actually complete game... Only other game I've preordered has been The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, so we'll see. I can't imagine that disappointing me though, but you never know.
Other than that, not really. I purchase little to nothing at full price.

+1. Personally i would've liked it more if i didn't come back to dead people and a lack of supplies after a 3 day break.

Guild Wars 2 for me as well. I played a little on my friend's account and thought it was fun. Figured I get my own so a week later I did, but then hardly touched it since. I'm pretty sure only one of my characters is over level 1..like probably lvl 5.

Well, I don't quite regret buying games but I kinda feel sorry for buying some of them.
EYE Divine Cybermancy is one of them. I got it on sale but couldn't play it too much since I didn't quite like it. I was expecting something else.
And the second one is Heroes VI. Preordered the retail CE for 40 euros since it was 20 euros cheaper then the Steam's digital CE but I still haven't finished the campaign or single player maps. Game is bugged as hell. It's better than it was when it got out but still :( And it's not about the money I lost but because it's a M&M game.
