Idea - Only able to enter giveaways if you have the game on wishlist.

1) Giveaway pops up
2) Put in on wishlist
3) Idea of yours is now ruined.

It'd be nice, but not nesseccary. I've started to add all games I know I'll never play to the SG+ filter, and the whole site suddenly got much easier to view, and so much easier to find what you want and really want to spend points on.

So.... why not add all the games to the wishlist, ENTER ALL THE GAMES1, which is for some strange reason disabled for me but hey ho.

All this would do is increase the length of peoples' wishlists...

btw SG only shows the top 25 games on your wishlist(I have the games I want the most on mine, theres others I want, just not as much as others)

Maybe put another optional restriction on giveaways. Like contributor, but this one will be must have entered X amount of giveaways. Or even won less than X or more than X.

What if I want to enter a giveaway for a game that is not available in my region?

I have more than 300 games on my wishlist. I haven't added most of the DLCs and haven't check indie games at all yet.

my first 3 months on SG was like "fuck i must enter every giveaway i see"
but then i took an arrow to the knee... now i enter 1-5 giveaways per day

Stupid idea. What if game is unavaiable in store in your contry? You cannot put it on your wishlist. Also - what about titles removed from Steam or bundles/packs that's been never there? Show me your Steam wishlist with Humble bundle 5.

It wouldn't be too hard to make a script that makes every "enter giveaway" button into a "add game to wishlist+enter giveaway"

Yeah because steamgifts definitely wants to sync with your account something like 5 time/day . Also, great idea because we cant add games we dont want in our wishlist. THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY!.

No for two reasons: sg loads only 25 first games from your wishlist (the need to change the script and store more useless informations - just imagine site loading wishlists with <500 positions, the servers might not survive this); people would keep adding games to their wishlist when new giveaway would show and syncing way more than it is needed (plus: no more entering for games they already have; minus: many users repeatedly syncing their profiles 3-5 times a day with possible consequences worse than any flash giveaway party ever)

What would be the point? Honestly, I've discovered some interesting games from the giveaways here that I wouldn't have found otherwise.

Everyone would just add a ton of games to their wishlists.....

Idea: only be allowed to make suggestions if you've given away a game.

Then some games, like Civ 5 GOTY wouldnt be allowed to be giving away, since you cant add them to your wishlist.

Well, if you REALLY want a game, you probably will buy it (or download it with some kind of "magical tools that will let you have it for free").
If you REALLY want a game you won't just hope to win it by entering in a giveaway.
