i left the customer service part alone, cause frankly its fairly accurate. but why attack the sound quality of asus? lol that one imo is just funny. i mean a discouragement of a brand is one thing for personal reasons, but it seems like you got some downright hatred for them =)
anyways, personally the sound quality of my laptop i think is amazing. its a little lower on the volume then i'd like, but thats just to prevent it from blowing the speakers.

I'm not sure what he meant by disturbed noise so I compared it to sound quality. But its really bad. The sound has lots of buffer sound and yea I would say that when everything is on that laptop is on high specs but only negative part would be the sound system and its costly :D

I haven't read through all the comments yet, so I apologize if this is a repeat. I'd recommend waiting. The 1000 Series from Nvidia has just been released. I was just helping a friend try to pick one out, and it seems all laptops are still using the 900 Series. So unless it's an emergency and you need a PC right away, I would highly advise waiting.
To answer your questions:
For me, the most important thing would be the Graphics Card if it was for gaming.
If you're wanting to run things like The Division, a laptop isn't really the best, you'd definitely want a 980m (Or see above: Wait until the 1000 Series releases for laptops).
FreeDos isn't something you'd want to run on a gaming laptop. I'd recommend you take a look at what MS-DOS is to understand why. Linux is fun, but only if you know what you're doing. Unless you're really good with technology, you're going to want to stick to Windows for your gaming needs.
I did some quick searching around, although I didn't spend much time, because I've been working with a friend with a similar budget (Except hers is $1800 instead of $1300). The only laptop I could find in the ~$1300 range that I could recommend is this one.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask away~

1- Good cooling is very important for laptops to work well, espically if u live in a hot country
about graphic cards this site is very useful and has benchmarks for most of new games tasted on most of gpus (here is a one for GTX 960m :http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-960M.138006.0.html)
This site is good too it can help you to compare between gpus :http://gpuboss.com/

I recently bought a MSI laptop GE62 6QD APACHE PRO-400XP
I7-6700HQ 2.6GHZ
GTX960M 2GB
16GB RAM
128GB SSD + 1TB
15.6" screen
I'm very happy with that purchase and It cost me a little over 1000€ (including win10). With your budget I guess you could get a GTX970M.
Good luck :)

Well, i have an i7 5500U with a Geforce 920M with it.
I can play play GTA V on medium settings with 30 FPS.
I didn't bought my pc for gaming, i bought to study, since i do computer science and I'm working on some projects that needs lots of processing.
If you want to go on gaming, Geforce 960M is great, you will be able to plat GTA V on Maximum settings(Of course, I'm saying on the notebook screen resolution, not on your TV).
You don't need a strong processor.
You just have to make sure that your processor will be able to handle your video card.
The great majority of games doesn't really need processing stuff, with exceptions of games with strong physics or constant math.
Ps: My computer was BRL 2700(US$800), but in my country, Computers are usually overpriced.

Well... I will try to share my questionable knowledege about laptops with you, although I am not a big specialist neither in the field nor a native speaker of English so you may have hard time reading it. :P
First of all, the laptop sent by d3m4n is really good. I am surprised that you can buy such a good device in this price range. Ok - I am going to discuss the most important elements of gaming laptops now.
-The most important part is the graphic card. Because of the fact that Nvidia is lauching a new series called Pascal (10XX) you probably should not buy a laptop right now and wait untill 1050Ti comes out. Unless you can afford to buy 1060 right now. I believe that the series will be much better than the older one (Maxwell 9XXM) for a few reasions. Firstly, as you can see the new line of graphic cards for laptops does not have M in their name, which is a characteristic feature of such devices. The reason behind it is that Pascal's graphic cards will be the same as the ones produced for PC in terms of their performances. All of the older generation were downgraded and made weaker when implemented to laptops. What is more, Pascals are really energy saving and it can be a really important factor when it comes to mobile devices. Not to mention the fact that Pascals are just more efficient in respect of their perfomance. You can read more about it for example here http://www.laptopmag.com/articles/should-you-buy-pascal-gaming-laptop
-Another important aspect is the processor. I would rather not buy anything labelled with the latter U as such processors are adjusted for low voltages and for that reason "they have no balls" : P. They are really weak. But I am not sure if they still produce those so I am just saying. Buy something from the newest generations (VI - Skylake) such as i5 6300HQ or i7-6700HQ and you should be fine. I believe that none of them have problems with throttling. To tell the truth, Intel will release a new series called Kaby Lake in a few weeks/months? But it is not a such important factor as the realease of new graphic cards. Because the progress in processors' development is nothing when compared to the evolution of graphic cards. What is more, processors are not that important for games in most cases. Admittedly, there are a few games such as Ashes of Singularity because it is an RTS with a lot of unitis so it requires much computing power. Well... when it comes to the comparision of i5 vs i7... The views here are sptil. Some people believe that i5 is just enough for gaming and it will not slow down the graphic card in most games (as the graphic card will be the weaker component). Such individuals believe that i7 is to strong and it is created for people rendering vidoes etc. What is more, i7 can produce more heat than i5 and it is important in case of laptops but many of the newest releases have really good cooling systems. Wel... When it comes to my opinion I would not buy i7 6700K for a graphic card such as GTX 1050Ti or 1060. I would consider buying such a processor in case of GTX 1080 or Titan X as it would give you extra ~10 fps. But the diffrence in price is probably bigger than in fps. There are some tests for a weaker graphic card http://laptopmedia.com/highlights/intel-core-i5-6300hq-vs-intel-core-i7-6700hq-which-is-better-for-gaming-and-is-it-worth-the-extra-bucks-for-the-i7/ and a stronger one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhaB1dqYv_I But it my opinion and tests are based on knowledge connected with standard PCs and I am afraid that you will not find anything connected with laptops.
-When it comes to the screen, the size depends on your individual preferences. I have not had a laptop bigger than 15.6 so I will not tell you but many people belevie that 17.3 is more comfortable for gaming. Additionaly, the screen should be based on IPS and should be matte. Additionaly, the resolution of the screen should not be higher than Full HD as the bigger resolotions such as 4k would slow down the performance of your device.
-When it comes to the RAM, I would recommend buying a laptop with 2x8GB. 16GB is enough for all of the released games and should be enough in the closest feature too. Because of the fact that there are two RAM modules, there will work in so-called dual channel. It will give you extra 10 fps in many games and I believe that it is much cheaper than buying a better processor. But if you would like to buy a laptop with 8gb RAM, buy one with only module. 8gb is enough for the most games produced thus far but it is clearly visible that games are going to require 16gb very, very soon. So you will be able to add another 8gb module in the future. There is a test that I have watched recently. It is in Polish but you should understand fps displayed on the screens... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQz4XmEFbTU
-As for the HDD, it is good to have 7200 rpm in the case of standard PC as they are faster than 5400. I have not seen any one recomending 5400 for gaming purposes but I do not read that much about such matters. Obviously, SSD is much faster than HDD and it is really good to have one for the system, web browser and the applications that are launched when you start your computer. A computer with SSD is really fast when it comes to lauching, web browing etc. However, for gaming purposes it would provide you only with a faster load of specific levels in games etc if you installed a game on it. I am not sure but I think that you would be able to buy like 128gb-250gb SSD in the price range.
Well... I hope that I did not fotget about any part... And I noticed that a few people recommended to you laptops such as Lenovo y700 and Dell 7559. A few days ago, my close friend as me to help her bought a laptop for not more than 1030$ (the price is more standard when presented in the Polish currency). :P And the two laptops were the best ones that I could find. But you should be aware of the fact that Lenovo y700 does not have a screen which is fully matte so practically it is glossy - not recommended. Additionaly, it does not have a CD-Rom and the battery is built inside of the laptop so you cannot take it off easily. Consequently, such a laptop has to work with the battery on all the time as far as you do not want to lose your warranty because of taking of the cover. And because the batter is not standard, you would not have an opportunity to buy an equivalant produced by another comprany (at least in my coutry) and you would have to buy an original version from Lenovo, which is kinda expensive. What is more, Microsoft has released a few days ago an update to Windows 10 and it is not compatible with some of Lenovo drivers. Because of that keyboards in Lenovo y700 tend to stop working while gaming - I do not know how much time will need the company to fix it. Furthermore, Lenovo's service really, really, REALLY, REALLY sucks a d*ck. I would not send them my laptop whatever what... They can send it back to you with broken cover or parts running freely in the inside of the laptops... Additinally, there would not even solve the problem because of which you send them the laptop... At least it is like this in my country - Poland - and I am not sure but I think that the laptops from my region are serviced in Germany. So would rather spend a little more and buy Dell 7559. But the price range is not the same and I would not buy a laptop right now with Maxwell card as far as you do not want to regret that your laptop will be out dated in a few months. My friend agreed to way the release of 1050ti. Well... Answering your one more question - yes, you will be able to play in the games mentioned by you at the begining of the thread. But in the case of 960M at most of medium graphic settings with like 30 fps... In the case of 970M with a little bit higher settings... Not even to mention their performances in games which are about to come out.
Well... I probably could write it much better but I do not have much time recently so I was not able to read it once again before sending the post. I hope you will understand the content.
HOWEVER, BE AWARE OF THE FACT THAT I AM NOT A SPECIALIST IN A FIELD OF COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY AND I AM NOT EVEN THAT INTERESTED IN IT SO DO NOT BLIDELY FOLLOW MY ADVICE AS I CAN BE WRONG BUT I HOPE I DID NOT MISLEAD YOU IN ANY OF THE DESCRIBED COMPONENTS.
I hope you will enjoy your new laptop.

In the case of laptops there is no difference between DDR3 and DDR4 in terms of performance. It is like 1 fps of a few seconds sometimes for one and sometimes for the other type. Obviously, there are some technological differences between those which makes DDR4 better but only in case of PC-s not laptops but I think I will not talk about them unless you want me to do so.

I got a laptop. I regret buying it. the performance is not bad but the display and keyboard got serious problems for long-term gaming. bought a PC again. if U need a laptop, buy some fanless ones!

Dell Inspiron 7559.
Asus/ROG and MSI are incredibly overpriced in Turkey, go with 4 GB 960M Dell 7559 and you'll be fine. I'm currently using it and I can play anything I want.
You may want to consider a Monster too, but I heard that they could be a bit problematic.

Sorry, I never played GTA V. But I'm quite sure you can get 40+ FPS on medium and quite more on low settings.
There isn't a huge performance gap between DDR3 and DDR4. You should choose your laptop depending on GPU > CPU > Amount of RAM > Speed of RAM at last. Between worst DDR3 laptop with 960M and best DDR4 laptop with 960M you'd only see 4-5 FPS difference. So just get a laptop with 960M or above, (970M is quite expensive in Turkey). Make sure it has at least an i7-6700hq with 16 GB of RAM. It should cost you around 3500₺, around 1000$.
