Rootwater is my second choice. Really good and polite person too, which as I said are 2 really important traits and that's how I'm choosing them. :P Rootwater likes everyone and doesn't like to blacklist people. And check out the awesome ratio of Rootwater, if you're interested in ratio that is.

If it's possible, I would also like to suggest rarelysmile000, because he's a good and generous person. He intends to be more active in the forums and give away even more games. And if you get to know him, you'll understand how generous he is. And he has a nice ratio too.
Comment has been collapsed.
He's a really generous person though. I've met him and he always gives games to his friends. Plus, he could have easily sold them for a really good profit, but he didn't. ;)
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, but he could have sold each one for many keys, so he lost much more than 7,50 dollars. Went from level 4 to level 8, but still, he was making giveaways before that. He's a trader, just like me, so trust me, it's a really hard choice to decide to give away something instead of trading it. And think of how many price glitches have happened till now - it's not only that game. If you get to know him, you'll see that he'll help you anytime you want and even give you wishlisted games for free. His friends will tell you the same. But of course, you don't have to believe me, but at least check him out from now on, especially since he wants to become more active now.
Comment has been collapsed.
Don't get angry at me. ;_; I didn't mean it like that. I just said that it's a hard choice to pick what to give away and what to trade. I know it, because I'm a trader, and I have to choose what to trade and what to give away. You said he lost 7,5 dollars, but he lost much more money than that. That's the only thing I'm saying. That's what I meant when I said that he "lost" money. You misunderstood me. Not you too, eeev. :'( I always like to give away games and I don't consider it as losing money, but I still find it hard to choose what to give away and what to trade. :'(
Comment has been collapsed.
Spending money is the same with losing money, except if it's the fault of our language barrier. Maybe it's the fault of my knowledge of the english language? I don't know. Anyway, that's what he told me and that's what I'm telling you. Just please don't bring me the blame. :S Other than that, you're free to do what you want with that info: Either believe me (or actually, believe him, not me) or just stick on the meaning of a word.
Comment has been collapsed.
When I am spending money then I'm receiving something in return for it, be it everyday goods, a nice meal, CV, or the joy of bringing pleasure to someone else by gifting them something.
When I'm losing money then it's gone and I got nothing. A loss.
I think there's a huge difference between those two words.
My post wasn't about semantics tho and I feel this conversation fell flat from the actual fact that "gifting" 5 copies (or even 1 for all that matters) of Vegas is not an act of charity or benevolence.
Comment has been collapsed.
So that's why you are hating on me? Because I thought the word "lose" meant something different?
Also, I'm gonna tell you the same thing I said to steffke, about his giveaway of Vegas Pro and my giveaway of Vegas Pro:
About him, I'm telling you what he told me. About me, I'm just saying the truth. I could have just sold it and be done with it, so nobody would complain. But I did the "mistake" to give it away and I ended up being a target. Go now and check my comments in the Vegas Pro price glitch thread. I was asking for advice if I should sell it or give it away. Finxert told me to give it away, but I was thinking that it would only give me 15 cv (because by seeing that it was only 100 points, I thought that when getting bundled, I would get only 15 cv). I wrote it there. Just check the comments. I made the giveaway before I found out that I would get 60 cv when it gets bundled, instead of 15 cv. You're free to think that I'm lying, but I want you to answer: Do you think I'm lying? Or do you think that I was so interested of getting 15 cv?
I just want you to use an adjective to characterize me about this situation. I'm a liar? I'm stupid because I thought I would end up with 15 cv? What am I?
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm not at all hating on you. Calm down, Shamrock. Maybe re-read our conversation.
All I said is that the uncanny CV farming from the guy you recommended seems very wrong to me. You just kept defending him with arguements that felt very weird to me.
Comment has been collapsed.
But you kept insisting about my usage of the verb "lose". But nevermind about that.
I told you that I'm defending him just because I'm trusting him about what he said to me. We're trading together for some time and trading requires a lot of trust. If I wouldn't know him, then maybe I would even agree with you. But when he tells me something, I believe him. Just like he believes me when I say something. I have even lent him keys many times and he always gives them back to me when he says so. That's ONE of the reasons why I trust his words. So, when he told me that he wants to become more active on steamgifts and give away more games, I believed him. And look at that, he has already made some private giveaways for the people on the forum. :/ So why not defend him? Should I just let you destroy his chance to become more known on steamgifts?
Comment has been collapsed.
You are overreacting. I'm finding it kinda ridiculous to assume I'd be destroying anyones chances of becoming active here.
He's not off to a good start in my book tho by abusing a price glitch to farm himself $2000 of CV. I mean, picture that! Two thousand fucking dollars of CV by spending $7.50. Have you got any idea how long it took me (or anybody else) to get to level 8??
Comment has been collapsed.
It will get bundled, so stop repeating that. And I thought that when it will get bundled, I will get 15 cv for it (because the giveaway was 100 points, so 15% of 100 is 15) - so he thought the same about each of his giveaways.
And in the end, that's why you care about his cv - because you think that he'll get a higher cv than you with an easier way. That's what it's all about: competition! You don't care about him giving away something, but about him getting more cv than you more easily. With the exact same logic, why do a lot of people buy bundles by paying 1 dollar for so many games? Why don't they buy them the same way as me? I don't have paypal money. I pay with keys or wallet money to buy games and end up spending more money than them to buy the games. Should I act like that too and complain because they can get them for a cheaper price? Or just be happy that at least they're giving away something.
And it's sad that you, between of all people, try to push me over the edge and make me realize that steamgifts isn't about giving, but about competing, and just make me stop giving away anything at all. I've said in the past that I thought that steamgifts is about giving things to people, with no restrictions and without hate, but people rushed to deny that - and they proved it to me. And, in the end, that's what I loved in steamcompanion, which I used to use in the past instead of steamgifts: the lack of drama. People can be judging you about everything these days - even when you're just giving away something. The day that people have to apologize about giving away something, is the day that kindness will die. And it seems that good people have stopped existing and if you say you're good, they'll either tell you're lying or that you're just stupid. But no, I will keep believing that good people exist, just like Rootwater, whom I believe is the best person here currently. ^_^ Let's hope he won't change his attitude too. So, what I have to say is that you should try to become a bit more like Rootwater. EDIT: I found my conversation with him: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/DUf7Z/yaaay-3#y9f2jzq
Comment has been collapsed.
Eh, this feels like my words are getting twisted all over in your mouth. What I say is not about competition, it's about what is fair.
I see an extreme example of a person exploiting the CV system posted by you. I report my observation and state my opinion.
I also see that you feel the need to defend that person because of a personal relationship you are involved with them.
It's getting out of hand at this point tho. I'm not going to continue this conversation from here on.
Comment has been collapsed.
is it really a hard choice to spend $1.5 to get 400 (soon to be 60) or trade it for $15-20?
with what you trade for vegas, you won't match 60cv. never.
this is just plain shameless farming, nothing else. there's nothing generous about it.
and making up excuses to cover that behavior is just sad. :\
Comment has been collapsed.
You're extremely mistaken. That's not a realistic price. The game could be bought for 1 key (because neither of us are from Indonesia) and traded for a lot of keys, as long as there are not a lot of Vegas gifts in the market left. Didn't you see that people ask for a knife in order to trade it? I'm just saying the facts. A trader would understand that he could have just given away cheap gifts and sold the expensive Vegas gifts. Choosing what to give away is always hard for traders. And he doesn't even care about cv. Why don't you ask him yourself then, instead of answering to my comment? I didn't make any excuse. I'm just telling you what he told me. So, who am I to believe? Him, that I know him for some time, or you, that you are just saying a hypothesis?
Comment has been collapsed.
He bought them from an Indonesian trader the same day I also did. We wanted to sell them, but we eventually didn't. Ask him if you don't believe me, not me. I'm just the messenger, so don't bring the blame on me and hating me, even because I think that spending money is the same with losing money. >:(
Comment has been collapsed.
Funny part is that even with the 10% drops, it would have been better to farm Vegas for 10-12 copies, because it would still have given a lot more than the 1-dollar HB game maker software exploit.
I mean, there is obvious CV farming, and obvious CV farming done unoptimally.

I just don't like people calling me a liar in front of my face. ;_; I keep explaining them and nobody believes me. What else can I do?
Comment has been collapsed.
With the Vegas giveaway situation? Nothing. It is a case where it is known to be an exploit of something and you cannot really do anything about it, as it is next to impossible to explain it anything as such.
On the other hand, it is something that will eventually be forgotten and buried on your giveaway list. It's not the first Steam product used as such, you are not the only person doing it right now. The CV system has inherent flaws and people like to play the system. (And, if you pardon me, I would be REALLY surprised if a Greek wouldn't try to play the system with such an obvious and easy opportunity. :))
Comment has been collapsed.
I copied-pasted the comment to steffke to you too, but you still won't believe me and now you start saying that Greeks are trying to play the system. WTF? xD You're kinda misinformed about Greeks. :P So, now I'm a liar and that's because I have it in my DNA? xD Anyway, I won't hate you about that, because I know you are joking. :P
Comment has been collapsed.
Nah, Greeks like to play the system. After all, Greece's national sport is tax evasion. ^__^
I saw your comment and I think we are talking about different things. I don't condemn you for anything, I just state that it is obvious that you saw the cheap Indonesian Vegas price glitch, got yourself a copy form someone, and after not really knowing what to do with it, you decided to give it away. Which is nice.
What I am saying is that people will still see that you got that Vegas in order to profit from it somehow. But in my opinion, trying to get a little CV out of it is still the least selfish form of profit on SteamGifts.
(By the way, you probably could have sold it for decent money, since it was SEA-locked. There are tons of content creators in South-East Asia, maybe more than in entire Europe.)
Comment has been collapsed.
No, that's a lie. Greeks don't like to play the system. Tax-evaders like to play the system. That's like saying that all Greeks like to play the system, which is not only totally incorrect, but also totally bigoted - and surely extremely offensive.
Guess you didn't even see my comment above. -_- It was redirecting you to another discussion, where I was asking what to do with it: trade it or give it away! I always know what to do with gifts: I either trade them or give them away. The choice between these 2 is always the problem. And I also said that I thought that I would eventually get 15 cv from it, which doesn't sound like I intended to profit from its cv. So, you must be either calling me a liar or a stupid person. Being called stupid, I don't care a bit, that I can assure you. But being called a liar, that is something I find really offensive. :/
Comment has been collapsed.
Not really. I only saw you being bigoted against Greeks (I ain't mistaken about that of course, right?) and also saw you repeating the same thing you said above with different words. :P
Comment has been collapsed.
Bigoted? :) Nope. I really don't care about such frivolous things as nations. I just like to play on stereotypes and sometimes get amused on how stingy people can get if their own stereotype comes into play. I have managed to anger Russians, Latin-Americans, Chinese, and a few more other people with that, even though I was just usually presenting hard data in an unusual manner. (In this regard, I love Americans. They love even their own offensive stereotypes and have good laughs about them. In Europe, only some of the Brits do that, which is a shame.)
Comment has been collapsed.
If you are not bigoted, then why did you accuse all the Greeks of playing with the system? When I asked you if that's a joke, you denied it. If it's not a joke, then you're bigoted, no matter if you deny it. I love almost every kind of humor, so if it was a joke, I would have laughed. :/

Alright guys, enough of this argument. This topic is meant to be about getting people to win my giveaways, nothing else.

i'm not making any hypothesis, the fact is people FARMED it because it couldn't be traded for $250, $200 or even $100. so getting 400cv or 60cv is by far the BEST investment on steamgifts.
this isn't a dark souls 3 deluxe bought for $1, which could later be sold for $40 easily. it's a crappy software, region-locked, useless to 99% of sg, that people only want because they see the insane price tag on steam...

I suggest Sanrs - https://www.steamgifts.com/user/Sanrs
When there was a region lock on something I won (unbeknownst to him at the time), Sanrs gifted me a whole fresh copy of the bundle that contained that game. Solid guy.

lol well a SG support member compared me to the nazi's on another forum thread when i suggested that the multitude of level 0 members on the site who enter and win GA's time and time again and fail to ever contribute their own GA should be removed from the community haha... that is why I am the official GA partner of the Third Reich!

I would like to nominate my fellowls:
Zoey1
tevemadar
and
Adelion
Each of them is rarely invited to such parties so they feel lonely yet they are very nice and kind people and it's pleasure to have a chat with them. They are silent heroes of SG so why not reward them for this? The choice was hard but I've tried to pick rarely chosen users :)

I tried to find some names that (probably) wouldn't automatically end up on your list anyway.
heilurmes
Pilda
L4stM
Had positive experiences with each of them, they contribute in a positive way to the community. And attitude matters far more than some ratios (though it seems that their ratio ain't that bad either :p).

Like last year, I'm looking for suggestions on who to invite to my birthday event.
Suggest 1 to 3 users, including name, profile link and why you think they deserve a chance to party with me. Even blacklisted members will be considered, no need to hold back on suggestions.
I'll be accepting between 50 and 100 users, depending how my giveaways go. Right now, I only have a few but I'm hoping more cards sell to increase what I have up for users.
